Hey ladies! <3 I just wanted to updated everyone on my current beauty face routine and the products I use! The winter months have left my skin paler than I prefer, so Ive been really enjoying using anything warm and bronze. Also, a lightweight hydrating powder really allows my skin to breath while giving me light/med coverage. Overall pretty neutral, but hints of warmth and color. The goods: Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder N20, Loreal Infalliable The Super Slim Black Eyeliner, Art Deco High Definition Powder/Bronzer, MAC Blush in Trace Gold, Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum, Anastazia Brow Wiz in Ebony, The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes #7, Bourjois 24 Colour Edition in Petale de Glace, Nars Eyeliner Pencil, Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien, and Albeit Nourishing Lip Balm.
Hey everyone! <3 So continuing with the skincare streak that I have been on through winter, keeping my skin hydrated has been must, since the winters instantly dry out my skin. (Which makes on putting any makeup a drag.) I was recently able to try this wonderful duo by Insta Natural, the Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Youth Express Eye Gel. You can also find it on Amazon. I’ve used hyaluronic acid in the past and ave had really great results with it. It’s a clear, odorless liquid/gel that quickly absorbs into any skin type and hydrates without leaving any residue. It has no scent, is very clean, and can be mixed into other products for a little boost. It always helped my skin feel softer and more plump. I like these two because they are both a good size, under $20, paraben and cruelty free, and are enriched with Vitamin C, Green Tea and Aloe.
What’s your winter must have skincare staple? X
After much hulabaloo, and trying a few samples, I bought a full size Glam Glow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. I know, I know, it’s expensive, but I was able to find it on discount at TJMaxx which made the blow a bit better. My skin for some reason was starting to have small breakouts around my nose and t-zone, I’m sure from my lax beauty habits in the recent cold winter months. The mask itself is a pale green tingling mud with botanicals, and exfoliators. The main ingredients are: French Green Clay, Volcanic Pumice Rock, Chamomile, Marigold, Cucumber, Herbs and Green Tea Leaves. The smell is really nice, very clean and spa like, the texture is very thick and chunky due to the tea leaves. I use only a small amount in my nose and trouble areas since you only get a little under 2 oz in the full size jar (which retails for $69). You can move the mask around before it sets on your skin, but do so gently because the exfoliates are a bit coarse. Once it sits for a bit it starts to tingle and burn, kind of like menthol. After washing, my skin felt clean and refreshed! As far as clearing up my skin, I do use other products so it is hard to say if this is a holy grail product for me. I think it does an ok job of clarifying for me personally. There are other, better, cheaper alternatives out there that I have used.
What do you guys think of GlamGlow?
Hey girls! I hope everyone had a great holiday, I wanted to quickly share my new perfume staple that I received for my birthday, it’s the Stella by Stella McCartney. I absolutely love the bottle, I received the 1 oz size $50 at Sephora, which is a great size for my purse. The notes are: Rose, Peony Flower, Mandarin, Rose Absolute, and Amber. It’s definitely a feminine floral, but very rich, warm, and mysterious as well. I seriously love this scent. The concept of the Stella McCartney bath line is driven by a passion for ecological and organic cosmetology: selecting the best natural raw materials and capitalizing on vegetal extracts, organic agriculture, and extraction methods that respect and protect the natural life force of the plants. Love the concept behind this brand, learned something new after reading that description on the Sephora website. I highly recommend this fragrance for anyone looking for a new everyday floral staple.
Are you all enjoying the winter weather? X
Hey gals! <3 So I’m sure you’ve seen the dark lipstick trend going around during the fall/winter seasons, and it can definitely be a little daunting when you’re a nude lipstick girl like me. I’m absolutely loving the dark lip look especially for this time of year. Here are some quick tips to achieve a flawless dark lip look:
1. Invest in a lip pencil. A lip pencil will allow you to get that precise line, as well as a primed base for your lipstick.Your look will last longer!
2. Get color matched. Not all shades are the same, and different colors look better on different skin tones! Different finishes achieve different looks as well.
3. Set your lips. Take a small fluffy brush and pat some translucent setting powder around your lips to prevent bleeding and feathering!
4. Lastly, carry around your lip shade with you in your purse for touch ups on the go! In case you are out drinking, eating or kissing! ;)
What are you current favorite dark lip shades? X
