Hey girls! Hope everyone is doing awesome, I wanted to share the fairly new NYX Honey Dew Me Up Serum & Primer that I have been enjoying lately! It’s been super hot here, and I’ve been craving a lighter, more hydrated face for everyday. I was in passing through a makeup isle and came across this little beauty from NYX! I was immediately intrigued due to the packaging, I love anything gold!! The price tag was a bit steep for NYX at $16, but I had to try it none the less. I have anything with honey in it for the skin, it really helps to moisturize my skin and keep it looking radiant. It has a light serumy texture with tiny little gold flecks! It’s really hydrating on the skin without feeling heavy or sticky, it almost has a watery-gel texture. It’s really nice under makeup, and does help makeup apply more evenly. As far as longevity, it keeps my makeup looking fresh and my skin feeling awesome. Highly recommend!

What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?
Hey lovelies! ❤ I’m currently on holiday in Florida to visit some fam and as well as to get away from the cold winter months, I thought I’d show you a little bit into my travel makeup bag! When I’m away, I tend to be more minimal, especially is warmer climates. I rarely ever use foundation, mostly just sunscreen and moisturizer. I’ve really been enjoying using a bronzer to do a bit of contour and a brighter blush for the cheeks. Also a moisurizing lip balm and groomed brows are a everyday must! My beauty bits: Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation 320, Makeup Forever Smokey Extravagant Mascara, Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting, Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Chocolate Suede, NYX Powder Blush in Cinnamon, Coastal Scents Classic Tapered Kabuki Brush, Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner in Black, Fresh Black Tea Anti Age Eye Cream, NYX Eyebrow Pencil in Taupe, Smith’s Rosebud Salve & Lip Balm, and the Japonesque Velvet Touch Blush #6 . Are you guys traveling this winter?
NYX Be Free Eyeshadow Palette Review
Hi beauties! ❤ I decided to talk about the NYX Be Free Eyeshadow Palette, and kind of NYX as a brand in general. I received this as an item in one of my Blush Mystery Boxes, and loved that I got a full size product. I used to really love NYX when I was first getting into makeup, but now I find myself not reaching for a lot of their products. I do use their blush, powder, lip and eyebrow products regularly, but I don’t reach for the eyeshadows. This palette is so pretty! Anyone who is getting into makeup would LOVE this! Most of the eyeshadows are ok, better than some drugstore brands, but just middle of the road in terms of quality in my opinion. The blushes were great, and the lip glosses I could have done without. I do really like the color selection in this, and I think this would work with a base for a softer look, but overall not blown away by the pigmentation.
For drugstore I would rather recommend: Sleek eyeshadows (uk), Maybelline Eye Studio Quads & Color Tattoos, Milani Powder Singles, Wet N’ Wild Eyeshadow palettes, Catrice Eyeshadow (Canada), 17 eyeshadows (uk), Soap & Glory Eyeshadow (uk), Kiko Eyehsadow, Boots No. 7 Eyeshadows, Flower Beauty Eyeshadows, Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow, & the Loreal Infalliable shadows. What do you guys think of NYX?
Drugstore Makeup Look for Daytime
These are some of my favorite drugstore makeup products, perfect for a natural and affordable everyday look! I absolutely love the Physicians Formula Bronzer, the NYX Setting Powder and the Loreal Lumi Foundation. These products give you a fresh, dew, and neutral look for daytime, work, or casual weekend! Here’s the list!: NYX HD Studio Photogenic Finishing Powder in Translucent, Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation in W4, Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara, NYX Butter Lipstick in Snow Cap, NYX Automatic Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown, Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Melon, Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in Sable, Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Bronzer in Light/Medium, Covergirl Bombshell Intensity Eyeliner, and the ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Forest Nymph. ❤
NYX Bohemian Chic Nude Matte Collection Palette Review!
Hi everyone! I want to share a drugstore find, the NYX Bohemian Chic Nude Matte Collection Palette. The price varies depending on where you purchase it, but it is usually around the $10-$18 range. I managed to get it on sale! What really drew me in was the fact that it had all mattes and cheek colors, with pops of color on the bottom. I really like having neutral mattes around to mix in with my other shadows, and blend out my eye looks. The packaging is really cute and portable, and it has every shade you need. The quality of the shadows are ok, but again, mixed with other shadows, they work great.
NYX butter lipstick review & swatches!
Introducing the NYX Butter Lipsticks! Been loving these little guys! Super affordable, they are $5.99, and are extremely comfortable and easy to wear. I have the shades Sugar Wafer (pale nude), Fun Size (pale pink nude), and Snow Cap (neutral nude). I like that the packaging reflects the actual shade of the lipstick, makes them easy to grab! The formula is very creamy and the pigmentation can be worn sheer or built up. My favorite has to be Snow Cap, the perfect my lips but better shade! Have you tried these?

Recent Makeup Swap Haul!! XO
Hello everyone! I had recently written a post about doing a makeup swap and the response was awesome!! Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me and left messages to do one! Here are the recent goodies that I have gotten in the mail. These two swaps were from the US, so all the products are US based.
The first few things I received were these nail polishes and decal! I’ve never tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips, so I was excited to get one, and they’re NEON!!! Yay. Next I got an Essie polish in Shine of the Times, (here’s a great post with swatches) a really pretty holographic flakie topcoat! Next was the Revlon nail polish is Blue Mosaic, a gorgeous multi-shaped blue glitter polish. (swatches) Lastly was the Sephora by OPI Mermaid to Order, a really pretty metallic turquoise/teal color! (swatches) Love them all!! 😀
Next were the makeup related items, I really got a medly, by the great thing about doing swaps is that most of the time you get items that you normally wouldn’t purchase for yourself!! I got an Urban Decay eyeshadow in Minx (blue-green shifter with glitter), a Loreal eyeshadow in Taffetta (light frosty pink), a NYX eyeshow in Senusal (dark shimmery violet/brown), and a Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale (a squishy bright red/coral). The NYX shadow was definitely my favorite (Nars Night Shadows dupe!), it’s a deep sultry brown with dark violet undertones.
Swatches: Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale, NYX eyeshadow in Sensual, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Minx, and Loreal eyeshadow in Taffetta.
Lastly are the lip items and other beauty/makeup items. I got a Loreal Colour Riche Colour Caresse Lipstick in Sheer Linen, a Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, a deluxe size Ojon Revitalizing Mist, and a Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer. I was super excited about the primer because it was one of those items that I always passed at the drugstore because primers usually break me out. However this one didn’t, yay!! The Ojon Hair Mist made my hair softer and left a pleasant scent in my hair. Also helped with tangles! The two lip products I was super happy about because again, these are two items that I kept passing at the drugstore!! I love the Loreal Caresse formula, and the Revlon Lip Butter is awesome!! I have one in a nude color, but this one definitely breaks me out of my comfort zone, which is good! 🙂

Some Basic Makeup Swapping Rules!!:
- Always discuss your preferences, brands, skin types, facial features, hair color and type, ship dates, budgets and locations before hand!! It’s really important to create a relationship with the person you are swapping, so you can build trust!!
- Specify on getting items that they specifically requested or make it a surprise! Sometimes it’s a combination of both, which I personally like!
- Always buy and send NEW/UNUSED items, unless stated otherwise. It’s not nice to send used products, it’s not hygienic, and it makes the other person feel very disappointed!
- Always uphold the budget value and ship time. Also communication is key!! If something comes up or you have a change, let the other person know!!
- Pack your items carefully! The post office is usually not nice when it comes to packages, it’s up to you the pack the items safely and securely! It’s also nice to include a note/list of items.
- Enjoy your items! Be happy that you received such an awesome package, and hope the other person likes your gift as well! 🙂
Most of all, have fun with it! It’s especially fun to do swaps from different countries because you get to try things that you don’t normally see in your area! I got introduced to tons of brands and items that I LOVE through swaps, also been able to get things that I’ve been lusting for buy couldn’t get!
What do you guys think?!
Newest Summer Lippie: NYX Watermelon Round Lipstick!!
Hey everyone!! I was passing through my local grocery store, who happen to carry NYX Cosmetics, and saw this amazing color in the corner of my eye!! It’s the NYX Round Lipstick in Watermelon. The name just reminds me of summer! I really like NYX lipsticks because they are amazingly hydrating, nicely pigmented, and pretty affordable. I’ve really been loving my corals this summer and this definitely fits right in! 🙂
The color itself is a coral peachy pink color with gold reflects. I would consider this is a frosty lipstick, so be aware of that if you’re not a fan of frosty lipsticks! I usually prefer creme lipsticks, but this was an exception. If Nars Orgasm were a lipstick, this would be it!!
The packaging is really cute for these, I like the fact that they have the color pretty accurately on the bottom of each lipstick. The formula is super smooth, pigmented, and hydrating on the lips. I love how they feel on!! You don’t even really need to apply a balm before application. This color does get too frosty if you put it on thick, but with a couple swipes it’s a perfect summer shade.
Here’s a close up of the bullet. Gorgeous!! For those of you who are comfortable going out of the box, this looks AMAZING as a creme blush on the cheeks!! It gives an amazing highlight and a subtle peachy coral glow. It also makes my cheeks feel dewy and soft!! Give it a try!! 🙂

Current Favorites and Drugstore Haul!!
Hey everyone!! This are all my current favorites that I use on a daily basis, and also some new items that I got recently that I have been LOVING! As you all know, the summer months are approaching, and as I get more sun, my needs for my skin are changing! Here are all the items that I use to get that perfect natural summer look!
This is the Neutogena Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation in Fresh Beige, I picked this up because I have been curious about this foudnation for a while now, and seemed like a great opportunity to try it since I am getting a little tanner!! All my other foundations are a shade or two lighter than my skin tone in the summer, so this shade seemed perfect for me! Love that it is SPF 20!
Here’s the color Fresh beige on the top of the bottle! 🙂 The packaging a quite sturdy, made of glass and metal. The bottle itself is a bit chunky and heavy so I wouldn’t really recommend carrying it around in a makeup bag. The only downside I would say is that it has no pump!! I have to carefully droop some product onto my hand on directly on my brush.
Here is the color on my skin! Initially it looks quite dark, but blended out it looks amazing and matches perfectly. The texture of this foundation is very light and liquidy, and seemed to have some light skin care properties.
Here’s the product blended out onto my skin a bit, you can really see the color of this foundation and I noticed that it had very faint pleasant fresh cosmetic smell.
Here it is completely blended out, you can hardly notice it!!!! It makes my skin feel very soft and supple, and the coverage is very natural. I really love using this foundation on my face because I don’t feel like it’s caked on and heavy, especially during the summer months. My skin feels fresh and naturally dewy!!
This is a little sample of the Dr. Jart Water Fuse BB Cream I got in my latest Birchbox. It really is a tiny sample, but I am getting a bit of use out of it, just to try. I really like the packaging, very modern and clean, and I’ve heard SO much about Dr. Jart Bb Creams in the past, I was so excited to finally give it a try!
Here is what the color of the BB Cream looks like. As with most BB Creams, it is a bit light. When blended, the BB Cream should dissipate into the skin and match better. There is a strong SPF smell to this BB Cream as it does have SPF 25, so if you are put off by that, I recommend you try a different version!
Here it is blended out a bit, the BB Cream is very light and moisturizing, it almost disappears immediately onto the skin. I really like BB Creams because of all the great functions they have, and the fact that it is makeup and skincare in one!!
Here it is completely blended out. Gone!! I will probably use this sparingly on certain areas where I need a bit more coverage, (under my eyes, forehead chin, freckles, etc.) under my foundation. This would be a great alternative in summer months for a concealer!
This is a product that’s been around my makeup collection for a couple months now, and I’ve really been liking how handy it is. It is the Hard Candy Welcome Mattifying Translucent Power. I really like dusting this over my foundation for a natural yet flawless look. It also keeps my face less oily throughout the day. The powder is very light and absorbs into the skin. I like using a kabuki brush to apply it all over the face!
Here’s a swatch of it. Initially it does look very light, and with a heavy hand, it can give a whitish cast on the fast, but used correctly it does it’s job wonderfully. It has no smell, and feels very smooth and fine.
Here it is blended over the foundation swatch!!
This is the Eco Tools Bronzing Brush, a huge chunky brush that I’ve been loving. It’s incredibly soft and dense it is perfect for powder and bronzer. I’m a big fan of Eco Tools and recommend any of their brushes!! They are a great value, and are quality made. Check them out!!
This is the NYX Stick Blush in Hibiscus, I’ve talked about this before but had to bring it up again since it is SO gorgeous. I REALLY like these stick blushes because of the formula and the pigmentation. They feel incredibly smooth and almost gel-like, without being cakey or sticky, and apply to the skin easily. The stick holds it’s shape very well, and the packaging is pretty good. You only need a couple dabs of this on your cheek for a great natural flush.
Here’s a swatch of the NYX Stick Blush in Hibiscus.
Swatch of the NYX Stick Blush in Hibiscus blended out!!
I’ve been really fortunate to get two of these in my recent makeup swaps, and I’ve been loving using it ever since!!!! It really is an incredible matte bronzer and the perk is that it smells like cocoa. lol I like using this under my cheekbones and the temples of my head for a warm contour. Love using this with my Eco Tools Bronzing Brush! 🙂
This is nothing new if you’ve been following my blog, The Loreal Colour Riche Balm!!!! This is in the shade Caring Coral. It is a perfect lightly tinted lip moisturizer with an SPF of 15. I’ve been attracted to more warm corally shades since summer is right around the corner, and have been topping my lips off with this! Can’t stop saying how much I like them!
This is a recent drugstore purchase, the Wet N’ Wild Mega Shield Lipstick in Within These Adobe Walls. I saw a review on these lipsticks not too long ago and wasn’t too interested in them until I saw this color! It is an amazing warm mid tone pink shade with a hint of neutrals. Great everyday lip color, and the formula is very pigmented and moisturizing! The only downside I would say is the cheap packaging!!
This is also a recent drugstore purchase, and I am SO happy that I got this! It’s the Revlon Colorstay Retractable Eyeliner in Brown. I’ve been wearing a lot of brown eyeliner for work since it looks much more natural, but have been let down by some that don’t have as much staying power. However this one is VERY different!! This has a great pigmented formula that stays on the skin for hours!!! I did a swatch on my hand and it wouldn’t even budge if I rubbed it hard with my fingers! Very impressed with this, worth the $5.
Swatches: Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, Revlon Colorstay Retractable Eyeliner in Brown, Wet N’ Wild Mega Shield Lipstick in Within These Adobe Walls, and Loreal Colour Riche Balm in Caring Coral
Last but not least, a nail polish!! This is the Sephora Glitter Nail Polish in Sugar Plum Faeries Gone Wild. Such a pretty purple glittery polish!!! I’ve been wearing this on my toes and recently to do my purple ombre glitter nails!! The glitter has a combination of fine purple reflects and small purple hexagons. Love it!!!!
Here’s a close up!!! Nail tutorial coming soon!! 🙂
Loving my recent drugstore purchases, what do you guys think!?

Pretty Blue Spring/Summer Haul!
Yaay pretty, cool blues!! I don’t know if it’s because it’s getting warmer, but I’ve been attracted to the cool blue tones! Even thought I’ve always had an affinity for blue colors, the summer bring a great opportunity to wear them, since I’m a bit tanner. Here’s what I got in my little haul!! 🙂
This is the Maybelline Eye Studio Baked Duo in Navy Narcissist, and Mac Moon’s Reflection. I absolutely love these colors, they just remind me of deep tropical pools somewhere on the planet. The Maybelline Duo was a surprise, as I’m always a little hesitant about Maybelline products, but this was beautiful. I got it on sale at Target and it has two gorgeous blue colors, one a deep pacific blue, and the other is a shimmery multi-toned light blue. The Mac Moon’s Reflection is amazing. I love this color. It’s really wearable and the texture is very smooth and pigmented!
This is Revlon Nail Polish in Blue Lagoon, I LOOOVE this color so much! It’s a light baby blue with tiny blue and silver reflects. I was having a hard time choosing between this and Revlon Whimsical Nail Polish, but in the end I chose this one because it was more opaque and I thought it was much more flattering. Highly recommend this if you like blues on the nails!
This is Wallflower refill from Bath & Body Works, it pops into a wall air freshener and I absolutely love the smell! On the website it says, “A refreshing concoction of island pineapple, banana and fresh kiwi, infused with spiced rum and coconut.” I bout 6 of these since they were having a promotion, 6 for $24, and I can’t stop sniffing this! I have it plugged in my kitchen and I get a good whiff of it every morning. I LOVE this!
These are the NYX Jumbo Pencils in Baby Blue and Pacific. NYX Jumbo pencils are incredibly smooth and pigmented, and are a pretty good value. I looove using this under my lower lash line and on my water line. You can also use this all over the lid by itself, or as a base. These are amazing, can’t say enough good things. 🙂
Swatches: Maybelline Eye Studio Baked Duo in Navy Narcissist, Mac Moon’s Reflection, NYX Jumbo Pencils in Pacific and Baby Blue
Wearing NYX Jumo Eye Pencil in Baby Blue under my lower lash line.

US/Canada Makeup Swap!! :D
My first international makeup swap!! I’ve always been interested in doing makeup swaps with people living in different countries because I like trying out things that I can’t get here in the states! I had been speaking with my fellow beauty blogger Pearlessence in Canada and we decided to do a swap!! We set a budget and decided to do a mixture of high end/drugstore products. We e-mailed back and forth asking about certain products, brands, and our skin types etc. After browsing the stores and getting things that I knew were great, here is what I got!! 😀
A really cute note from her, thanks so much! Everything was wrapped really well and nothing was broken! Yay!
Here are all the things I got from her, I really wanted to try the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, so I was glad that she had included it in the box! 😀 The other things I wasn’t sure of since we don’t have these brands in the states, but they look gorgeous! Essence is a familiar brand, but Marcelle and Annabelle I wasn’t very familiar with, which was exciting! 🙂
This is the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, I’ve been eyeing this for ages, but couldn’t get myself to get it here in the states since the prices were always jacked up so high! It’s a light silky bronzer that actually smells like chocolate! So excited to use this!
The powder and packaging itself looks like chocolate which was incredible, and I took a light whiff and it does smell like a powdery chocolate! The powder has a slight orange undertone but used with a light hand it looks very natural. The powder itself is very smooth and soft and blends easily on the skin. Thank you Pearlessence for getting this for me, I really appreciate it! 😀
This is the Essence silky touch blush, and I must say it is very silky! The powder is smooth and airy, and has a “silky” finish. The color would be a great bronzey highlight, or as a day time contour shade! This is my first essence product, so I’m excited to try it!
This is the Marcelle Power Volume Mascara, I’ve never heard or seen the brand Marcelle in the states, so I was curious to try this! The mascara has a plastic fiber brush with a slightly wet formula. The color is almost a very dark charcoal grey, but dries black. It actually makes my lashes look natural and not too over powering like some black mascaras! I like how it feel on, and I’m surprised that I actually like a plastic brush, as I usually swear of them! Thanks Canada for making a good one! 🙂
This is the Annabelle Mineral Pigment Dust in Violet Vibe. It’s a gorgeous vibrant matte violet color with a hint of iridescence. The packaging is really interesting as it pops open at the top with a small hole where the pigment comes out. I’m not sure if I can use a brush for this, but I can easily get some on the finger and apply it that way! It is really a gorgeous shade, and looks amazing on the lids. You also get quite a good amount and you don’t have to worry about it spilling everywhere!
This is the Gosh Effect Powder in Bluebell. This is AMAZING. I loved this immediately. Gosh has been a brand I wanted to try, and am SO excited that I finally get to!! It’s am amazing light cornflower-periwinkle blue color with white iridescent shimmer! It looks amazing on the lids and has a lot of dimension. The packing is very cute and it also has a gelly-like stopper that you can open and close. This is pretty nice so that the pigment actually stay IN the jar unlike some mineral pigments. LOVE this!
Also in the box was this Yves Rocher Lipstick in La Glacilly 41. The packaging was pretty with the flower detailing, and I was even more impressed with the lipstick itself. It looked a bit dark at first, but upon application is went on a very pretty sheer berry color. You can build it up after a few swipes and you get it more true to color on your lips. I’ve always been a neutral or pink girl, but this color actually looks great on my skin tone!! The formula is very moisturizing, smooth, and easy to apply. I’ve never heard of Yves Rocher, so I’m very happy to have this! 🙂
Lastly, there was a Joe Fresh Fine Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Olive. I love felt tip liners so I was excited to open this one! I’ve heard of Joe Fresh, but again can’t get it in the states. This liner is incredibly fine tipper so you can draw very fine lines and details if you wanted to. The color is a muted olive green color, that dries a bit brighter than what you see on the packaging. It’s a fun alternative to a black liner, and can be pretty versatile for day looks! Love this!!
Swatches: Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, Essence Silky Touch Blush, Annabelle Mineral Pigment Powder in Violet Vibe, Gosh Effect Powder in Bluebell, Yves Rocher Lipstick in La Glacilly 41, and Joe Fresh Fine Tipped Liquid Eyeliner
Thanks for everything Pearl, I really love it!!! I really recommend doing these makeup swaps for anyone who is interested, it’s really a lot of fun!
And also, what I sent to her below:

NYX Sale Haul!
Ulta is having a 40% off sale of NYX, Revlon, Almay and Physicians Formula. There’s also a $3.50 off any $10 purchase coupon on this ad that I used to further my savings!! I totally took advantage of this and got some NYX goodies.
These are some awesome lip and cheek products I’ve been eyeing for a while! It’s the NYC Stick Blushes, NYX Matte Lipstick, and NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. I already have one of the lip creams (Instanbul), but had to get this gorgeous coral color!
These stick blushes are amazing. I got them in Orchid and Hibiscus. They are incredibly smooth, blendable, leaves a great gleam, and feels nice on the skin. They are pretty cute, but the packaging could be a little better, but works none the less. It a chubby twist up tube with coordinating colors. All the colors are gorgeous but these two really stood out. Hibiscus is a deep warm rosey pink color, and Orchid is a peachy coral-pink with gold reflects, reminds me a lot of Nars Orgasm. The formula isn’t greasy or cakey, they are very smooth with just the right amount of pigmentation. I really love these on my cheeks! I highly recommend these.
This is the NYX Matte Lipstick in Hippie Chic. It’s a light, creamy nude-pink color that looks nice on the lips. It’s not over drying like most matte lipsticks, and goes on smooth. It’s very pigmented, and make my lips feel soft. I really like the packaging, and so far so good with this!
This is the Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp. It’s a bright coral-pink color, and shows up vibrantly on the lips. These lip cream are very airy, smooth, and pigmented, and feel kind of like a mousse. I already have one of these in Istanbul and LOVE it. It does have a soft matte finish, but don’t make my lips feel dry at all. I was lucky enough to get this 40% off at the sale, love, love, love these!
Swatches: NYX Stick Blush in Hibiscus and Orchid, NYX Matte Lipstick in Hippie Chic, and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp
Yaaay, I finally got the NYX HD Foundation! I’ve been wanting to try this for a few months, and today was a great opportunity to try it! This is in the color Soft Beige 02, and is perfect for my light/med yellow toned skin. The bottle is a little smaller than expected, but don’t mind since I got a good deal on it. All NYX cosmetics are cruelty free, so I feel better supporting their products. The foundation says it’s “good for all skin types, softens lines, light diffusing effect, and is perfect coverage for studio photos and pictures with pals!”
The formula is light, soft, and fast absorbing. You only need a little to cover your entire face. Once on, it doesn’t feel like you have anything on, and you get decent coverage! It is build-able, but I’d say this is a light/med coverage foundation. The color looks pretty good match to my skin tone, especially my face since it is a little darker than my wrists. I really like this foundation, and might mix it into my BB Creams for better color overall. Like!
Here’s the NYX HD Foundation in Soft Beige 02 blended out!
What do you think? 🙂
