Revlon Powder Blushes Pinks & Corals

4 5.5Hey girls! ❤ I wanted to share my new drugstore blush additions, they are the Revlon Powder Blushes in Melon-Drama, Classy Coral, Racey Rose. I was able to find these on sale at the drugstore, and I was a little hesitant to pick these up at full price. The colors looked amazing, and the packaging is nice and sleek which I like. I was happily surprised with these. They apply gorgeously on the skin, very natural looking, and I really love the shade range. I picked up all the pinky-peachy shades, and I’ve been really enjoying them when on the go. They are fairly cheap and come with a brush, which I don’t really use, but overall I’m really liking these little blushes! Totally recommend checking these out from the drugstore!

Current Full face PICKS

1Hey girls! I wanted to show you all some current full face picks that I’ve been using lately! I always try and use a mix of high end and drugstore, and I’ve recently picked up a couple new things I wanted to test out! The Marc Jacobs lipstick in Serverine, Jurlique lip balm, the Bobbi Brown bronzer and the Rimmel Shadow Stick are old favorites, but I wanted to incorporate the newbies in the routine! The Revlon blushes are fairly new to my collection and I’ve ben really enjoying them! I like the color range and the finish of them is quite natural. The Loreal Tinted Skin Illuminator is really neat, it’s a liquid highlighter and tinted moisturizer with SPF mixed into one! I really like it because it give the skin a healthy dewy look without looking too oily or sparkly. Also, if you have dry skin, this would be a great one too! The Rimmel Waterproof Wonderlash Mascara with Argan Oil was an impulse buy, I was intrigued by the argan oil in it, and the blue tube. 🙂 It give really natural feathery lashes, and doesn’t feel heavy at all! My lashes don’t feel dry so I’m guessing that from the argan oil. The Wet N’ Wild Fergie primer is amazing. It’s probably one of my favorites at this point and it was really inexpensive. It makes my eyeshadows stick and lasts ALL day! The ELF HD Concelaer I did a review on, and is a close dupe to the Nars Creamy Concealer. Last but not least, the Maybelline The Brights palette! This is a fun little palette, but a mix of neutrals and brights! This is a good palette for those who want to experiement with brighter colors on the eyes without inveting too much. Some of the pigmentation could be better, but it’s not bad by any means. Anways, thanks for reading guys! X

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Review!

20140608_195059 copy20140608_195115 copy20140608_195141 copy20140608_195243 copy I recently had little lippie haul and two of the item I got were the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains! I got 2 shades that I thought I would wear most, Milan Moment (coral) and London Posh (pink nude). The formula of these really remind me of the L’Oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Lip Colours. They are really rich, balmy, glossy and hydrating. I found that the color does slightly stain the lips, I’m sure with the darker shades it is even more apparent. I think these are the best formulation of these type of lip product so far, really impressed!

NEW Drugstore: Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara Review!

1 2 (2) 3I picked up this Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara at the drugstore recently because I had some $10 extra bucks at CVS and decided to give it a go! It is an extension of the Revlon Grow Luscious line, and promises length, volume, and bold pigment. I got the shade 001 Blackest Black which seemed like the darkest black shade. I surprisingly like this mascara. At first I thought it was gimmicky, but this mascara give my lashes a bold, feathery look. It’s not sticky and has a gel like formula. It definitely lengthens and give some volume, without looking un-natural after a few coats. I would recommend this for people who already have some lash going on. Overall, a great find!

20140408_205209 copy20140408_205230 copy20140408_205552 copyHey everyone! I wanted to make this post about the Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polishes $5.99 in Wintermint & Autumn Spice. They released last last year around the holidays, but I had picked up these two beauties to test out! I was intrigued to see if the scented part of the nail polish acually worked, and it does! The Autumn Spice shade kind of smells like fall cinnamony potpourri, and Wintermint smells like a typical strong mint scent. The shades are very pretty. I am curious to try the other shades!

My Current Face Favorites! ❤

1

Hello everyone! This post is a long time coming, but I wanted to do it now because I finally got a bunch of products that I really love using on my face! Over the seasons, items have changed, but these overall have been my go-to favorites for my everyday looks! These are my favorite foundations/BB Creams of the moment, the YSL Touch Eclat Illuminating Foundation, Skin79 The Oriental BB Cream and Shimmering BB Cream, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation, and the Sephora Instant Radiance Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid. LOVE all of these, I prefer hydrating, light textured, dewy, medium coverage foundations for the skin. Makes me look healthy and natural!

6

This is the Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat Mineral Loose Powder, which came out this year for Spring 2013, the packaging is so pretty, a bit bulky, but is so nice. The powder itself is micro fine, light textured, sheer, and so smooth. It give the skin a flawless slightly illuminated finish. It smells nice too!!

2

Next is the CoverFX MatteFX Powder, Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector, Benefit Playstick, and ELF Maximum Coverage Concealer. I absolutely love these products, the Benefit Playstick is probably my all time favorite stick foundation/concealer. It’s so creamy and light, and the finish is amazing! The CoverFX MatteFX Powder I use everyday, it just set my makeup and keeps my makeup from sliding around during the day and gives a translucent effect. The Covergirl Corrector is a recent find but I’ve been suing it everyday, I LOVE the texture, my undereyes feel hydrated, and the coverage is good without being cakey. The ELF concealer I use on it’s own on days where I want to be natural. It has good coverage, feels nice and dewy, and is a great color match. Closest product that feels like a BB Cream without being one!

3

Next is the Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace, Mac Archie’s Girl Blush in Cream Soda, and Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Frivole. I absolutely love Sleek as a brand, too bad it’s only available in the UK! I’ve really been loving tangerine toned blushes applied with a light stippling brush, the color is co gorgeous with a light hand! The Mac blush in Cream Soda is a great everyday light peach blush, which just makes me skin look more alive. The Chanel blush was a splurge, but the quality of it and the color is SO gorgeous. highly recommend.

4

These are my go-to face powders and bronzers, the Revlon Photoready Bronzed and Chic Bronzer, Lancome Dual Finish Versatile Face Powder, and the Lola Pressed Powder in Wheat. All of these powders are matte, but not cakey. The texture is very light and smooth. Love the Revlon bronzer because of the different quadrants, and how pretty is the coral print? The Lancome Dual Finish Powder is just hands down one of the best face powders I’ve used, and the the Lola Pressed Powder I use as a natural contour, which I found for $1 on AllCosmeticsWholesale!

5

Next are mascaras, my newest fav is the Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara in Black, 17 Peep Show Mascara in Brown/Black, Loreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara, and the Nars Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara. All of these I really like. The Nars and Dior mascaras have to be at the top, the 17 Peepshow Mascara is great for everyday natural wear. The Loreal Mascara is a total DUPE for the Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara. I love the formula for these, not too wet or dry, slightly creamy in a way, pigmented, stays on the lashes, and voluminous.

7

Lastly are my eyeliner and brow products! I have my Mememe Eye Spy Eyeliner Pencil that I use for my brows, the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner Pen, Sleek Eau La Liner, Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner, my spooly wand, and the Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Eyeliner Pencil. The Maybelliner Master Precise Pen is amazing, it’s my go-to for any winged eyeliner look. It just makes my eyes look polished and defined. The Too Face eyeliner is so creamy and pigmented, amazing for lining the upper lash line and smudging out looks. The Sleek Eau La Liner is great all around, lasts, creamy, and is very pigmented. The Loreal Liner is pretty much a gel liner in a pencil form, SO creamy and very black. I use a angled brush to use this pencil!

Overall, I LOVE all these products, and I can see myself using them for the greater part of the year.

What do you guys think!? 🙂

Recent Makeup Swap Haul!! XO

Hello everyone! I had recently written a post about doing a makeup swap and the response was awesome!! Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me and left messages to do one! Here are the recent goodies that I have gotten in the mail. These two swaps were from the US, so all the products are US based.

The first few things I received were these nail polishes and decal! I’ve never tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips, so I was excited to get one, and they’re NEON!!! Yay. Next I got an Essie polish in Shine of the Times, (here’s a great post with swatches) a really pretty holographic flakie topcoat! Next was the Revlon nail polish is Blue Mosaic, a gorgeous multi-shaped blue glitter polish. (swatches) Lastly was the Sephora by OPI Mermaid to Order, a really pretty metallic turquoise/teal color! (swatches) Love them all!! 😀

Next were the makeup related items, I really got a medly, by the great thing about doing swaps is that most of the time you get items that you normally wouldn’t purchase for yourself!! I got an Urban Decay eyeshadow in Minx (blue-green shifter with glitter), a Loreal eyeshadow in Taffetta (light frosty pink), a NYX eyeshow in Senusal (dark shimmery violet/brown), and a Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale (a squishy bright red/coral). The NYX shadow was definitely my favorite (Nars Night Shadows dupe!), it’s a deep sultry brown with dark violet undertones.

Swatches: Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale, NYX eyeshadow in Sensual, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Minx, and Loreal eyeshadow in Taffetta.

Lastly are the lip items and other beauty/makeup items. I got a Loreal Colour Riche Colour Caresse Lipstick in Sheer Linen, a Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, a deluxe size Ojon Revitalizing Mist, and a Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer. I was super excited about the primer because it was one of those items that I always passed at the drugstore because primers usually break me out. However this one didn’t, yay!! The Ojon Hair Mist made my hair softer and left a pleasant scent in my hair. Also helped with tangles! The two lip products I was super happy about because again, these are two items that I kept passing at the drugstore!! I love the Loreal Caresse formula, and the Revlon Lip Butter is awesome!! I have one in a nude color, but this one definitely breaks me out of my comfort zone, which is good! 🙂

Swacthes: Loreal Colour Riche Colour Caresse Lipstick in Sheer Linen, and Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

And for those who are interested…

Some Basic Makeup Swapping Rules!!:

  • Always discuss your preferences, brands, skin types, facial features, hair color and type, ship dates, budgets and locations before hand!! It’s really important to create a relationship with the person you are swapping, so you can build trust!!
  • Specify on getting items that they specifically requested or make it a surprise! Sometimes it’s a combination of both, which I personally like!
  • Always buy and send NEW/UNUSED items, unless stated otherwise. It’s not nice to send used products, it’s not hygienic, and it makes the other person feel very disappointed!
  • Always uphold the budget value and ship time. Also communication is key!! If something comes up or you have a change, let the other person know!!
  • Pack your items carefully! The post office is usually not nice when it comes to packages, it’s up to you the pack the items safely and securely! It’s also nice to include a note/list of items.
  • Enjoy your items! Be happy that you received such an awesome package, and hope the other person likes your gift as well! 🙂

Most of all, have fun with it! It’s especially fun to do swaps from different countries because you get to try things that you don’t normally see in your area! I got introduced to tons of brands and items that I LOVE through swaps, also been able to get things that I’ve been lusting for buy couldn’t get!

What do you guys think?!

Recent Fall Target Haul! ❤

Hi everyone, I went to Target today and picked up some new goodies that I have been eyeing for a while, and also some that just released!!

This is the Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover, I have been wanting to try this for MONTHS but couldn’t justify buying it because A. I have plenty of makeup remover, and B. it’s $10 price tag. :p I’m so glad I got this today though because I LOVE it SO much. I’ve been using a Lancome and Estee Lauder makeup remover which are even more expensive, and this is actually a good comparison. If I didn’t have the others, this would be my staple.

The liquid if a soft light lavender color and at first the bottle has 2 layers in it that you shake up. It smells light and fresh, not offensive at all, and it feels incredibly gentle and smooth on the skin. This stuff is VERY effective, and doesn’t leave my face feeling greasy. It removes all my eye, lip, and face makeup with ease and does not sting. It even removes my long-wearing and highly pigmented makeup products as well!! A+!

Next are these two ELF nail polishes that just released this fall I got for $2 each! I love what they did with the packaging and the colors in this range were gorgeous. I also noticed that the formula for these are definitely improved. How lovely are these deep plum shades!?

They both didn’t have any names, but they do have the numbers 23 and 24 on the bottom of the bottles. The left shade is a deep medium berry creme shade, so, so pretty. The right is a dark blue/purple shade with tiny blue and purple glitters. It reminds me of a discontinued MAC nail polish I have, can’t wait to wear these!

Swatches: 24 and 23

I also picked up this deep plum snakeskin emery board from ELF since it was just $1 and I actually needed one of these. I really like the pattern!

Lastly is another item that I have been eyeing for months. It’s the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute. I’ve been so curious about this lipstick, and since you can’t try before you buy in drugstores, I’ve always given this a pass in the past. In the tube it looks like a very cool-toned medium berry color. I’ve hear this is a dupe for MAC’s Up The Amp, and it is actually quite similar!

Here’s the bottom of the lipstick so you can see the name. The texture is very creamy and easy to apply. The color is rich and very pigmented and lasts a long time on the lips! Be careful, because if you pile it on, it gives a more bright fucshia-y color and can pop more than you like! (unless you like that look!)

Swatch: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute

Here I am wearing it, what do you guys think!?
