My Current Beauty WISHLIST!

favs

Hey girls! ❤ I wanted to quickly share some beauty things I have been eyeing. Some are skincare and perfumes, but nonetheless, I need these in my collection! The Tom Ford Velvet Orchid Perfume I have sampled before, and absolutely loved it. It is a deep, sensual floral/woodsy scent, and lingers on the skin. The primer looks gorgeous and the other items are just must trys in my opinion. Here are the goods: Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, Becca Jaclyn Hill Champagne Shimmering Skin Perfector, YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer, Clinique Pop Lip Color + Primer, Viseart Eyeshadow Palette, Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, Tom Ford Velvet Orchid Perfume, and the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk. Have you guys tried any of these ?

The BB Cream Craze

I’m all for the new BB Cream Craze. Who wouldn’t want an all in one miracle product? BB Creams are basically skincare, primer, SPF, moisturizer, concealer, liquid foundation in ONE small bottle. The trend started in Asia, (mostly Korea & Japan) where the women are obsessed with healthy, flawless, young, dewy looking fair skin. I’m pretty sure Asian women are the only ones who have 15+ products just for skincare on their vanities. (being one myself) lol Joking aside, BB Creams are a great product. They are for the most part light weight, yet have good coverage, and the majority contain ingredients for anti-aging, wrinkles, whitening, moisturizing, and concealing. The few BB Creams I tried have been fantastic. Even the ones that are more affordable are great on the skin. The only downside I would say is that most do not come in a large color range, as Asian women prefer lighter skin. The good news is, most absorb into the skin and oxidize to adapt better to your skin tone. Even so, you can use a powder foundation or liquid foundation over the BB Cream to better match your natural color. The craze has gotten so large, that even makeup companies to the west have been formulating their own version of the BB Cream. Popular BB Cream brands are Missha, Skin79, Dr. Jart, Oriental Gold, Lioele, Fairy Drops, Holika Holika, BRTC, Skin Food, Hanskin, Peripera, Laniege, Etude House, L’egere, Agnes B., Boscia, Smashbox, Estee lauder, Clinique, and Christian Dior.

Eye Basics!

Everyone has their everyday eye routine, and everyone should have an arsenal of basic neutral eye makeup you can use on any look, anytime! Here are my top eye basic picks from my collection.

L to R: Mac-This & That, Makeup Forever Aqua Cream Shade 13, Rock & Republic Eyeshadow-Femme, Urban Decay- Sell Out

Mac This & That is my newest addition to my eye basic collection. The highlight color is terrific. It’s highly pigmented and very smooth. The champagne color in the duo is a good blending color/cheek highlighter, and is equally smooth and creamy in texture. The Makeup Forever Aqua Cream is a great long wearing cream eyeshadow base you can wear alone, or layer under other eyeshadows. It has a beautiful sheen, and dries quickly. The Rock & Republic Eyeshadow in Femme is a wonderful powder to wash over your eyelid to neutralize any discoloration. It is very blendable and adapts well to light to medium skin tones. Urban Decay Sell Out is a very similar color to the popular Sin eyeshadow. I chose Sell Out beacuse i felt it has a little more character and deeper peach undertones. This is a beautiful color to wear by itself or as a shimmery highlight.

L to R: Lorac Starry Eyed Baked Eyeshadow Trio – LoracStar and Laura Geller -Tiramisu

The Lorac Trio I got in a set with a few other items, and I’ve been loving the value! (The Lorac Close Up: Real Life To Red Carpet Natural To Dramatic Face Tutorial) The set had a total of 5 makeup items for $40. Considering the trio by itself sells for over $30, it was a bargain. The colors are neutral but have a beautiful shimmery quality. You can use the colors to create a great natural eye, and can also deepen it with the brown shade to smoke it out. Laura Geller Tiramisu is a great blending color for the out-v when doing a natural eye. I love this it has swirls of great neutral colors to make it interesting.

My HG Brow Powder: Maybelline Expert Wear- Made For Mocha

I LOVE this powder and use it everyday. I’ve never used it as an eyeshadow, but it works perfectly as my brow powder, I usually use it with a soft angled brush to fill in my eyebrows. It a great matte, chocolatey brown color, which defines my face, and matches my hair color. I paid under $3 for this product!

L to R: Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner – True Black, ELF Cream Liner – Metallic Olive

I bought the Clinique Liner after running out my my Mac Gel Liner, and I’ve had no complaints. The Clinique Liner goes on opaque, easily glides across the lid, and lasts all day. It is a bit more gel-like than the Mac Liner, but it is very comparable and is just as good. The ELf Liners I’ve come to love, A. because of the price, and B. the great range of colors they come in! The Metallic Olive Color is a great alternative to using a brown liner, as it has a bit more sparkle and a warm metallic finish. Highly recommended!

ELF Eye Primer, Stila Prime Pot- Taffy

Both these primers I am happy to use everyday, the Stila Prime Pot I feel has a heavier, thicker texture, but does it’s job right. It makes the eyeshadows stick, and mattifies the eye. I would recommend using this with more warm or neutral shades as it does have that beige undertone. The Elf Eye Primer is comparable to the Urban Decay Primer Potion, and to be frank, is just as good, and is the fraction of the price. I personally use the Elf one more because it feels lighter on my lids.

L to R: Ulta Eye Crayon-Birthday Girl, Lorac Front Of The Line Pro in Black, Bare Minerals Round The Clock Waterproof Eyeliner in Midnight

I LOVE the Ulta Eye Crayon for one reason. It makes my eyeshadow pigments STICK and STAY on my lids!! It doesn’t change the color, and actually adds dimension to my eye. I have a large collection of TKB pigments, and this is the ONLY things that works for keeping it on my eyelids, and making the colors more vibrant. The Lorac Pro Liner is a great felt tip eye pen, it’s slim packaging and lightweight design makes it a convenient yet effective eye pen. I’ve had for months now, and I have had no sign og it drying out. It’s very long wearing and precise. Great eye pen!! The Bare Minerals Liner in Midnight I got in a set over the holidays, and it was actually my first time trying the product. I said why not because the set for only $10 for 3 mini liners. It’s a great everyday liner, very pigmented, and can be blended out.
