Too Faced Everything Nice Holiday 2014 Palette
Hey lovelies! ❤ I just got my Too Faced Everything Nice Palette in the mail today! I’m so happy about it since I missed out on the big holiday palette they did last year, and I have to say, this is a real bang for your buck. It comes with a sparkly pink makeup case, 1 mini Better Than Sex Mascara, 3 mini brushes, 20 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter, and 1 bronzer. This is a mega palette, and if you are planning on traveling anywhere, this would be an end all be all palette to bring with a couple other items. The eyeshadows are pretty good, love the color selection, and of course the bronzer and blushes are gorgeous. You are getting the chocolate soleil bronzer in here so the entire palette smells like chocolate! The little brushes are a nice extra, they could come in handy if you are in a pinch, overall I really like this palette, love the packaging, and can’t wait to use it more! This would make a great gift for the holidays!
Available for $56 at Sephora.
Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Pop-Up Party Palette!
Hey beauties! 😀 This is the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Pop-Up Party Palette! It’s on sale now on Sephora for $26. Oh my goodness, I love this palette. At first I didn’t know what the quality was going to be like, but after swatching it in store, I knew I had to pick it up! The palette comes with a limited edition pop up case with a drawer with 20 eyeshadows. I absolutely love all the colors. I just wanted to give you a guys a quick sneak peek in case you wanted to pick one up for yourself! The drawer on mine was really hard to pull out, I felt like the drawer was too tightly in there, but with some gentle pulling you can get to the eyeshadows without damaging the box, The pop up portion is SUPER cute, serisouly a must have if you collect any hello kitty makeup. LOVE this! ❤
Anastasia Tamanna Palette Review & Swatches!
Hey everyone! ❤ I finally wanted to show you a guys a new eyeshadow palette I have been seriously loving. It’s the Anastasia Tamanna palette $29. It’ s a great value and i love the packaging. Anastasia shadows have been getting a great rep lately due to some of their other palettes, this is in particular really stood out to me. ‘The perfect fall and holiday palette designed in collaboration with makeup artist Tamanna Roashan’ I loved the warmth of the shades and the variety of shimmer and mattes. I especially love the Bengal shade, and the black in the palette is very dark and opaque which I love using as a powder liner. It also comes with a pretty nice dual ended brush, and it’s actually usable! The swatches above are done without primer, so you can see that they’re very pigmented and smooth! Definitely worth checking out for the holidays.
Custom Urban Decay 4 Palette
Hi everyone! ❤ I wanted to share I new item I put together at Sephora. I’ve walked passed the stall so many times because at first I wasn’t crazy about the packaging, but after a took a closer look, I decided to finally go for it. Urban Decay offers a build your own eyeshadow palette + 1 single shadow (Moonflower) for $18. On sale now for $12. The single shadows are $18, and you can pop them out of the packaging and place them in your palette! Overall, I think this is a really cute idea, I just wished the single shadows weren’t so expensive. They are great quality, and totally worth it, but I wish there were pan version for the palettes that were a bit less expensive. The eyeshadows swatch beautifully and look amazing on the eyes! The shades: YDK, Moonflower, Verve and Lost.
Nars Loves Los Angeles Set
Hello everyone! ❤ I wanted to do a quick review of the Nars Loves Los Angeles Set that came out last holiday season. I found this on Ebay for $32 (retail $75) and I was immediately drawn to the palette. I loved that you get 4 eyeshadows, a bronzer (Laguna) and blush (Deep Throat), and a couple extra goodies! I saw a little scared to use the blue shade, but it is actually very pretty blended out or used as an accent color on the eye. The lip gloss is Nars Turkish Delight which I was also really excited to try. I really like the quality of this set, the only shades I was concerned with was the light glittery shade and the blue shade. There was some crumbling with the glittery shade, but that was expected since it had so much glitter in it, it was best used with the flat brush patted over your eye, and the blue wasn’t as richly pigmented based on the swatch. However, this make it much more wearable and easily layerable over other shades. It also worked was as a liner! Great little set!
It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette
Hello lovelies! xo I’m finally getting to review the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette! It bought this because I few months ago, after hearing so many great reviews about it. It is a fully matte palette with one transforming pearl shade. I was absolutely excited to try this because it is all matte, and most of the shades are very usable on a daily basis. The texture is velvety smooth and super buttery. This is a great palette to add into your collection. The only downside I would say is the transforming pearl shade, and the packaging itself. The “pearl” color isn’t something you can use on top of the other shades, it’s too pigmented, somewhat matte and changes the color of the shade underneath. The outside pink packaging is a dust magnet. I love the concept and the color, but the felt, fuzzy fabric they used it really hard to keep clean. Overall, I do recommend, but this is a high maintenance palette!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
Hey everyone! This post was a long time coming, but I’m finally posting about the Anastasia Contour Kit $40! It was sold out for a long time on their website and on Sephora, but I managed to get my hands on it a few weeks ago and I’ve been using it non stop ever since. I absolutely love this palette, it’s sleek, nice quality, and has everything you need to sculpt your face. It has 3 highlight shades (2 matte and 1 shimmer) and 3 matte contour shades. Some are more cool toned and some are warm toned so it’s perfect to mix and match to create a natural look. I love using the yellow toned highlight and the mid/cool toned sculpt powder along my cheek bones and nose. Have you guys tried this?
My Little Sephora haul! <3
(Sorry for the lighting, I was using my crappy camera at night) Woo! I got Sephora order in the mail! I decided to take a peek into the sale page and saw a few goodies that looked worthy of a try! Sephora brand makeup has been one of those things where I do occasionally find a great item! I do actually like most of the in house products and brushes so I decided to give some palettes a try. The Too Faced Mascara and Melted Lip Lacquer I got with my points! Yay! ❤ I got the Sephora It Palette in Color Spectrum $19 and the Sephora Moon Baked Eyeshadow Palette in In The Tropics $15. The moon baked palette was really shimmery/glittery but performed well when applied wet or with a base. The It palettes I really like, it comes with 12 eyeshadows, a dual brush and an eyeliner. The shadows are smooth and pigmented and I really like the fabric chevron case!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review
Hi everyone! I wanted to review one of my all time favorite product and brand, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. Hourglass is hands down one of my favorite high end brands. This palette is a collection of 3 of their ambient lighting powders, Iridescent, Dim, and Radiant light, and is free of talc, gluten, fragrance, and nano particles. Amazing! The packaging is gorgeous, super sleek and luxurious feeling. It has a mirror on the inside and the powders themselves are amazing, they are super finely milled and give a soft focus effect on the skin. There is no glitter or shimmer in these, just super soft and magically blurs.
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review
Hi everyone! I know I’m really late on the band wagon, but I finally got my hands on the Naked 2 palette after enjoying the Naked 1 so much! At first I wasn’t sure if I would get use any out of it, but the more I swatched, the more workable the shadows became! The shades are definitely more cool toned than the Naked1, and the packaging has been upgraded to a metal case instead of cardboard one. I actually really like the shades in here, especially all the taupey shades and the darker shades. I think this palette is really great for someone who doesn’t like a lot of fuss or wants to invest in single eyeshadows. Have you guys tried this palette? 🙂
Nars Loves Miami Eyeshaow Palette Review
Ok, this palette is gorgeous. I was able to find this on Ebay, where I like to shop around for all the older limited edition makeup items, and I was so pleased that I could pick this up! This collection was actually part of their Holiday 2013 Nars Loves Miami Collection, and originally came in a gift set. It has the Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush which is awesome, and 4 shades of eyeshadow. I absolutely love the eyeshadow shades, really easy to wear, especially loving the bright purple, which I don;t really have in my collection. The look is amazing! Sorry I couldn’t post, I was having issues with the swatches. What do you guys think? ❤
NYX Be Free Eyeshadow Palette Review
Hi beauties! ❤ I decided to talk about the NYX Be Free Eyeshadow Palette, and kind of NYX as a brand in general. I received this as an item in one of my Blush Mystery Boxes, and loved that I got a full size product. I used to really love NYX when I was first getting into makeup, but now I find myself not reaching for a lot of their products. I do use their blush, powder, lip and eyebrow products regularly, but I don’t reach for the eyeshadows. This palette is so pretty! Anyone who is getting into makeup would LOVE this! Most of the eyeshadows are ok, better than some drugstore brands, but just middle of the road in terms of quality in my opinion. The blushes were great, and the lip glosses I could have done without. I do really like the color selection in this, and I think this would work with a base for a softer look, but overall not blown away by the pigmentation.
For drugstore I would rather recommend: Sleek eyeshadows (uk), Maybelline Eye Studio Quads & Color Tattoos, Milani Powder Singles, Wet N’ Wild Eyeshadow palettes, Catrice Eyeshadow (Canada), 17 eyeshadows (uk), Soap & Glory Eyeshadow (uk), Kiko Eyehsadow, Boots No. 7 Eyeshadows, Flower Beauty Eyeshadows, Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow, & the Loreal Infalliable shadows. What do you guys think of NYX?
Mini Sephora Haul: Marc Jacobs & Nars
Hi everyone! I decided to stop by my nearest Sephora to pick up a little goodie! I had some points to spend, so I got a mini Nars Lip Gloss in Orgasm! It was super cute and the color looked gorgeous. I had never tried the Nars lip gloss so I thought it was a great opportunity, it was not sticky and slightly metallic. I was immediately drawn to the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con Eyeshadow Palette No. 3 in 1110 The Shoe Gazer, very pretty and reminded me of summer. The quality is really nice, smooth buttery and pigmented, and oh, the packaging. I absolutely Marc Jacobs products, and they don’t skimp of presentation. Totally recommend!
