Makeup Geek Duochrome Eyeshadows Haul & Swatches!

2 35411

Hey girls! I quickly wanted to share my Makeup Geek Duochrome Eyeshadows $6! I picked up a few of the pans to try out, I was super intrigued after watching her video talking about her new launch! There are pigments for $12, which I might try out if I like these. The pans themselves look a little boring to be honest, but swatched they come alive! A couple of the colors I feel I’ve seen different brands come out with, but for the price this is a really great option. The pigmentation is good when swatched, and the duochrome is somewhat subdued on these. She did mention that the pigments were much more intense and obvious, but these would be good with a base, and for everyday wear. The colors: Voltage, Rockstar, Karma, Ritsy, Blacklight and Havoc.

My favorite cream eye bases

IMG_4896

Hey girls! I wanted to share my favorite cream bases that I have been loving for a while now, these are definitely my go tos and favorites of the bunch! I tend to stick with more neutral shades, but do like a darker vampy look from time to time for a smokey eye! I like to use them alone on easy days, or topped with my favorite eyeshadows for a long wearing more intense look. I really love how versatile these little pots are, and the colors are gorgeous! XMy lists: Smashbox Limitless 15 Hr Wear Cream Eyeshadows, MAC Paint Pots, Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliners, and Estee Lauder Stay On Eyeshadow Paints.

Hey girls! ❤ I wanted to share my awesome Morphe Single Eyeshadows! The thing about these little eyeshadows that I love, is that you are getting great quality and range for a very reasonable price. These little shadows are $2.29 each and do sometimes go on sale. There is a huge range to choose from, and the pigmentation and quality are great! I was inspired to make a somewhat fall palette, with a mix of warm/cool tones and neutrals and pops of color. These are all the shades I picked out, I also had an extra empty MAC palette laying out so I decided to fill it up! Shipping was fairly quick on both items and nicely packaged. I’m really happy by the way this turned out, I totally recommend checking out this brand!

Maybelline The Brights Eyeshadow Palette

7 89Hey gals! I wanted to a quick more in depth review on the Maybelline The Brights palette! I picked this up at Target a couple weeks ago in the new-in stand, and for some reason I was really drawn to this! I normally don’t wear a lot of brights, nor do I have tons of bright colors in my collection, so I decided to give this a try. There are a few neutrals in there that you could use, the dark shimmery brown and matte black are actually pretty nice. The white, deep purple, lime green and gold shade left a bit to be desired. Although they are still workable and buildable, there are definitely better bright colored palettes out there. I think Wet N’ Wild has some brighter palettes that they come out every ones in a while! Overall, I still do like this, and when I want to incorporate some color I will be reaching for this! ❤

Current Full face PICKS

1Hey girls! I wanted to show you all some current full face picks that I’ve been using lately! I always try and use a mix of high end and drugstore, and I’ve recently picked up a couple new things I wanted to test out! The Marc Jacobs lipstick in Serverine, Jurlique lip balm, the Bobbi Brown bronzer and the Rimmel Shadow Stick are old favorites, but I wanted to incorporate the newbies in the routine! The Revlon blushes are fairly new to my collection and I’ve ben really enjoying them! I like the color range and the finish of them is quite natural. The Loreal Tinted Skin Illuminator is really neat, it’s a liquid highlighter and tinted moisturizer with SPF mixed into one! I really like it because it give the skin a healthy dewy look without looking too oily or sparkly. Also, if you have dry skin, this would be a great one too! The Rimmel Waterproof Wonderlash Mascara with Argan Oil was an impulse buy, I was intrigued by the argan oil in it, and the blue tube. 🙂 It give really natural feathery lashes, and doesn’t feel heavy at all! My lashes don’t feel dry so I’m guessing that from the argan oil. The Wet N’ Wild Fergie primer is amazing. It’s probably one of my favorites at this point and it was really inexpensive. It makes my eyeshadows stick and lasts ALL day! The ELF HD Concelaer I did a review on, and is a close dupe to the Nars Creamy Concealer. Last but not least, the Maybelline The Brights palette! This is a fun little palette, but a mix of neutrals and brights! This is a good palette for those who want to experiement with brighter colors on the eyes without inveting too much. Some of the pigmentation could be better, but it’s not bad by any means. Anways, thanks for reading guys! X

ColourPop Eyeshadow Haul!

11

Hey gals! I wanted to do a quick post about ColourPop eyeshadows! ❤ I did a small haul of 7 of their eyeshadows, they are only $5 each and are said to be very creamy and pigmented. The box it came in was super cute, and was nicely packaged. Each eyeshadow comes in a small white plastic case and screw on lid. The eyeshadows themselves have a really unexpected texture, almost jelly/spongy, but definitely creamy and light. They are nicely pigmented, all of mine were shimmery/glittery/duochrome which I do like. They do offer a range of mattes which i am interested in as well. Swatches coming soon!

You are getting the chocolate soleil bronzer in here so the entire palette smells like chocolate! 23s5s2

Hey beauties! 😀 This is the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Pop-Up Party Palette! It’s on sale now on Sephora for $26. Oh my goodness, I love this palette. At first I didn’t know what the quality was going to be like, but after swatching it in store, I knew I had to pick it up! The palette comes with a limited edition pop up case with a drawer with 20 eyeshadows. I absolutely love all the colors. I just wanted to give you a guys a quick sneak peek in case you wanted to pick one up for yourself! The drawer on mine was really hard to pull out, I felt like the drawer was too tightly in there, but with some gentle pulling you can get to the eyeshadows without damaging the box, The pop up portion is SUPER cute, serisouly a must have if you collect any hello kitty makeup. LOVE this! ❤

Anastasia Tamanna Palette Review & Swatches!

7856

Hey everyone! ❤ I finally wanted to show you a guys a new eyeshadow palette I have been seriously loving. It’s the Anastasia Tamanna palette $29. It’ s a great value and i love the packaging. Anastasia shadows have been getting a great rep lately due to some of their other palettes, this is in particular really stood out to me. ‘The perfect fall and holiday palette designed in collaboration with makeup artist Tamanna Roashan’ I loved the warmth of the shades and the variety of shimmer and mattes. I especially love the Bengal shade, and the black in the palette is very dark and opaque which I love using as a powder liner. It also comes with a pretty nice dual ended brush, and it’s actually usable! The swatches above are done without primer, so you can see that they’re very pigmented and smooth! Definitely worth checking out for the holidays.

Urban Decay Naked Palette Dupes!

dupe Hey everybody! 😀 I wanted to let you guys know about a new Urban Decay Naked Palette dupe that I just discovered! They are call the W7 Eyeshadow Palettes, there are 4 in total: In the Nude, In the Night, Lightly Toasted, and In the Buff. I discovered them here on Ebay, but I know they are also available on Amazon. These are $7 each and are a fraction of the price of the original Naked paletted by Urban Decay. From what I can tell they are VERY similar in colors and packaging, and the pigmentation and quality is great for what you are paying for. I recommend checking this out if you are looking for a more affordable alternative to these palettes, or a gift for a friend! Look out for swatches and reviews soon!

I’ve walked passed the stall so many times because at first I wasn’t crazy about the packaging, but after a took a closer look, I decided to finally go for it. Urban Decay offers a build your own eyeshadow palette + 1 single shadow (Moonflower) for $18. On sale now for $12. The single shadows are $18, and you can pop them out of the packaging and place them in your palette! Overall, I think this is a really cute idea, I just wished the single shadows weren’t so expensive. They are great quality, and totally worth it, but I wish there were pan version for the palettes that were a bit less expensive. The eyeshadows swatch beautifully and look amazing on the eyes! The shades: YDK, Moonflower, Verve and Lost.

Hey everyone! ❤ I’ve been in the drugstore hunting for new fall finds, and I stumbled across these little shadows! These are the Covergirl FLamed Out Eyeshadow Pots in Scorching Cocoa and Melted Caramel, and have been out for a but I think. I finally caved and decided to give them a go after passing them a few times. Covergirl has been one of those brands I don’t gravitate towards much, I prefer L’Oreal and Revlon for sure, but these spoke to me. They were just under $5 each, and came in 12 different shades. I was a little worried about quality but for the price these performed pretty well. These are great for on the go and travel for a mono look! Have you tried these?
