Hey girls! Hope everyone is doing awesome, I wanted to share the fairly new NYX Honey Dew Me Up Serum & Primer that I have been enjoying lately! It’s been super hot here, and I’ve been craving a lighter, more hydrated face for everyday. I was in passing through a makeup isle and came across this little beauty from NYX! I was immediately intrigued due to the packaging, I love anything gold!! The price tag was a bit steep for NYX at $16, but I had to try it none the less. I have anything with honey in it for the skin, it really helps to moisturize my skin and keep it looking radiant. It has a light serumy texture with tiny little gold flecks! It’s really hydrating on the skin without feeling heavy or sticky, it almost has a watery-gel texture. It’s really nice under makeup, and does help makeup apply more evenly. As far as longevity, it keeps my makeup looking fresh and my skin feeling awesome. Highly recommend!

Clarins Opalescence Collection Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in Rose
A new spring discovery! The Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in Rose $37. This is meant to be used underneath foundation to give your skin a luminous glow, which it certainly does. I find this very moisturizing and non-silicone like which I prefer. The color has a very pretty pink opalescent sheen, and leaves my skin dewy and prepped and ready to apply liquid foundation. This does have a most subtle hint of pink, but underneath foundation it’s not noticeable at all. Love how fresh and dewy my skin looks when using this product! Highly recommend this product!
Have you checked out the Clarins Spring 2014 Collection?
Beauty Haul! <3 Sephora, Mac, Estee Lauder, Clarins & Victoria’s Secret
Someone made a “mini” haul! I stopped into Sephora and Macy’s and picked up a few things that caught my eye. The Sephora It Eyeshadow Palette in Nude, the new Spring 2014 Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in Rose which I absolutely LOVE, the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in Impulsive, super rich and creamy, the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette, the MAC Studio Sculpt Lash Mascara, and the Victoria’s Secret Color Drench Intense Lip Gloss in Sensual, very moisturizing and opaque.
Here is a closer look at the It Palette, very nice neutral shimmery and matte shades, comes with a nice usable dual ended brush and brown eyeliner pencil!
May Glossybox USA 2013
Hey everyone! This is the May 2013 Glossybox in the US, I was super excited about this box because it is the 1 year anniversary box for Glossybox, and I had heard that there were going to be some great products that were going to be featured!
I actually really like the Glossybox Magazine that comes with each box, I do read it all, and think the content is really interesting! They do a great job with it, and it’s not just promoting all the brands that come in the box, they have great articles, product reviews, and interviews!
This is the card that I got with my box, it just has all the things that were inside! No peeking!! 😉
Lovely packaging as usual with some promo cards, and a nice coupon for my next Ulta visit!
And, Ta da! My box. I was really excited for the Amore Pacific compact and the full size 365 perfume stick overall. Considering the full size compact is $60, and the sample is VERY generous size, I’d say in terms of value, I got my money’s worth!
This is the Sebastian Volupt Spray Gel, It’s a nice delux sample which I like, and I’ve gotten a lot of things from this brand before and I’ve liked everything I’ve gotten. I don’t really use gel in my hair so I’ll pass this along to my husband, but nice to see in my box none the less.
Next is the Amore Pacific Color Cushion Compact in 104 Tan Blush with SPF 50! They are a Korean brand, and I was SUPER excited to try this, I love that it came in it’s own little box! The size is really great, and LOVE that is has such a high SPF, especially for this summer season!
The product came with a mini face sponge, and the product itself was liquidy and was saturated in a sponge itself. You dab a bit on your face sponge and pat it over your face blending as you go. It feels really hydrating, and the coverage I’d say is light/medium. It really evened out my skin tone and left a dewy healthy glow. It smells fresh and really nice, and LOVE that is has antioxidants and SPF.
Next was this MyPrime Multi-Purpose Mattyfying Moisturizer. I was really intrigued by this because I was like “hm, moisturizer and matte finish?” Never heard of something like that but was excited to try. It had a hydrating feel but dried somewhat matte on the skin, this is the perfect moisturizer and matte primer in one!
This is the full size Lux 365 Solid Perfume Stick which is a $15 value! I was really happy about this because I love getting full size products in my subscription boxes, really makes them worth my while. “Vibrant and radiant, yet soft and feminine. A graceful scent that evokes white floral notes with an underlying refreshing hint of sweet citrus, Lux 369 is flirty, airy and delicate.”
The stick itself was fine, but I DID NOT like the smell!! It smelled like baby powder and old lady mixed in one. I’m a fruity/floral girl myself, and this did not smell floral at all, so I passed this along to a friend! Would have loved this if the smell was different!
Next were a couple packets, one was a full size face mask and the other was a sample of a body wash. Haven’t tried these items yet, but happy to have face masks around!
Overall, I did like this box, but I wish that the perfume stick was a different scent! Other than that, pretty happy with the box, I will continue my subscription with them! 🙂

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer Review!
This is one of the items I recently got in my Sephora haul, it’s the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer. Hourglass is a relatively new brand for me, but I’ve heard many good things about it! It is a bit more costly than some other brands, but the quality is very good, and paraben free!
Here’s the top of the box, just says mineral primer. It was very unsuspecting on the Sephora stand, I liked packaging of everything, but this primer stood out for some reason! I’ve had pretty bad luck with primers in the past either not making my makeup stay on any longer, or making me break out. I was hoping this would be different, and it is!!
The Sephora website says: “This clean, satin-finish formula helps keep makeup looking fresh and prevents fading. Veil Mineral Primer also absorbs excess oils and minimizes the appearance of pores by evenly distributing light to help hide and soften skin imperfections and fine lines.” Here’s the side of the bottle, it says Mineral “Veil” Primer, pretty simple sleek packaging, the bottle itself is all glass and the pump is plastic. It also has SPF 15!!
The size of this bottle is a little small, it only has about .33oz for $18, but they do sell a much larger version. I just wanted to try it so I didn’t want to invest in the full size amount!
The pump is pretty nice, I’m really fond of products that have a pump, it’s convenient, and hygienic. The pump is small and the product itself it pretty liquidy, so you only really need a small amount to use on your entire face!
Here’s the product pumped out onto my wrist (kitty in the background!) as you see, it’s very milky and fluid like, it does quickly disappear onto the skin, and leaves a nice smooth surface to apply makeup. It doesn’t feel greasy and is incredibly light! The is probably the best primer I’ve used this far!! I performs amazing with powder foundations.
Here it is completely blended onto my skin, it’s very light, quickly absorbs, and is not irritating to the skin!

Sephora Sale Haul!
I stopped by Sephora for the first time in months and was happy to find that they had some items on sale that I’ve been dying to try!!! Some items weren’t on sale but they were so amazing when I tested them in the store, the sales people were really nice today!
Will do a review on each of these items soon! 🙂
This is the Hello Kitty Parisienne Palette that I’ve been waiting to go on sale and it finally did!! I got this little beauty for $10, so happy I waited!! Review and swatches to come!
This is the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15, this was $18 for .33oz, one of the more pricier items, but I had to get it after trying a tester in the store, this primer is nothing like anything I’ve ever tried!! So happy with this, and love the convenient size!
This is the Sephora Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Moonbeam, been eyeing these as well!! Was lucky enough to find this for $5!! The color looks like a shimmery soft light shell pink, but can sometimes look beige. I’m in love with this already, pretty waves in the product!
This is the Sephora Hot Hues Neon Lip Balm in Hot Pink, it was part of the Hot Hues Collection released this year. It is a limited edition moisturizing sheer lip tint! I reeeaaally wanted to try this and got it for $3! So lucky!!
I also got a nice sample of the The Body Shop Shea Body Butter. I’m familiar with The Body Shop, and rather like body butters, this will be nice to put on after I get back from the pool! Going to try it on my chapped heels!
The nice sales woman also gave me some samples of the Caudalie skincare products I was eyeing in the store, the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum, and the Caudalie Premieres Vendanges Moisturizing Cream. I really liked the serum, and she recommended the moisturizer, can’t wait to test these beauts out!
Successful shopping day.

Mother’s Day Sale Mini ELF Haul!
Hello everyone!!!! Just got my ELF Shipment in from my Mother’s Day haul, they were doing a promotion for free shipping with $15 order and decided to take advantage of it! I haven’t ordered anything from ELF in a long time so it was nice to browse some of their new items! Everything came in this bag which they usually do, I guess it keeps all the products together! ELF has never been known for flashy packaging, but for the price they do product some decent products!!
This is a new item, the ELF Beach Party Summer Nail Polish Set, this was $3 and came with 3 mini nail polishes that I LOVE! These would be great on their own, or to create ombre nails! I absolutely love the colors, (Coral Dream, Flirty Fuchsia and Smokin Hot) can’t wait to test them out! 🙂
This is the ELF Conditioning Lip Balm in Romantic Rouge, I’ve been eyeing this for a while and finally decided to order it!! I reeaaallllyyy like these conditioning lip balms, they are very smooth, slightly glossy, highly pigmented and smell like vanilla cake! I was attracted to this color since I thought it would give such a nice bright tint to my lips, or built up if I wanted to! LOVE this color!
I got a back up of the ELF Conditioning Lip Balm in Nice & Natural, a great nude color with the same texture and feel as the other ones. They smell SO good! This gives a nice nude flush on my lips and neutralizes any discoloration. I really like how natural this looks and how nice it makes my lips feel!
I also got a back up of the ELF Eyelid primer, I like this because for $1, it doe the job! I’ve never had that much luck with eyelid primers, but I feel like this is good for what it is, plus it is VERY inexpensive. I would hate to waste money on a eye primer that I didn’t like! Yay for this. 🙂
This is the ELF Mineral Lipstick in Party Pink. These are a little more expensive than some of the other items in their Studio line, but I was really attracted to this color! I have this in Runway Pink and decided that this was it’s more subdued twin.
Here’s a close up of the color Party Pink. It looks like such a great nude, coraly-pink color!
Here’s what the packaging looks like, it’s simple, sleek and discreet. Nothing flashy or special, but this is a great step up from their essential lipstick packaging.
Here’s the color! AMAZING!! This would be such a great alternative nude lip color! Love this already!! Swatches and review coming soon! 🙂

My 100th Post!!! Loreal Magic Lumi & Hard Candy Welcome Matte Powder Review
I went to the drugstore today and had to pick up a couple things, the Hard Candy Welcome Matte I had recently bought for a makeup swap and wanted to try it myself! The Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer I had been eyeing after seeing some reviews on Youtube. Here they are! 🙂
This is the Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. It’s a pretty slim bottle, so you’re not really getting a lot of product for the price, although you only need to use one pump for it to work. I really like the pearly white and rose gold coloring of the packaging! Can’t wait to try it!
It comes with a pump top which is convenient. You can control how much product you want to use as well as keep the liquid inside clean. It does come with a cap to protect the pump if you wanted to use that as well.
Here’s the back of the bottle, it has some instructions on how to use the product as well as the ingredients. It’s a light formula that is supposed to give you a supple dewy look, that boosts liveliness and luminosity.
The fluid itself is very liquidy, and is a iridescent pearly white color. The texture is very moisturizing and smooth, without being heavy or greasy on the skin. Feels like a skin care product! There is no smell which I prefer, and so far it seems like it is a liquid highlighter if sorts.
Blended out on the skin, my skin immediately feels soft and moisturized, and the primer leaves an amazing subtle pearly sheen to the skin. I REALLY like this product!!! I can see myself using this under foundation, or alone as a highlighter to certain areas of my face. It does have pretty good staying power and makes my skin look very nice! Impressed with this!
This is the Hard Candy Welcome Matte Powder. I had gotten this for the person I had done a makeup swap with and was interested about it myself. I decided to get it and try it out since I heard so many good thing about it. The packaging is super cute and very Hard Candy, but I was really curious about the product itself!
The compact comes with a mirror and VERY cute heart shaped pink sponge, which it actually pretty good quality!
Here’s the back of the compact just so you can see the label. 🙂
On the skin, the powder is light and translucent, and does not feel cakey! It makes my skin smooth and feel not-oily. I wore this all day today on top of the Loreal Lumi Primer and my makeup is still going strong! I’m really liking this product and can see myself using this daily! Especially since the weather is getting warmer! 🙂
Also a quick note!!! I got this month’s Vogue Magazine in the mail and quickly looked through it to find a $2 off Coupon for any Loreal Magic Face product!!! Check it out if you are interested in trying any of them!! Also came with samples of the Loreal Magic Lumi Primer and Loreal Magic Perfecting Base!
Thanks for everyone who has been supporting me and my blog through my 100th post!! What do you think!? 🙂
March Favorites! ♡
Yay! Time for March favorites!! I literally went on auto pilot and grabbed for the first things in each category that I saw. These are things that I ALWAYS grab for, and is so essential for a gorgeous spring face. Although there are other things I could include, these are the things I thought represented it the best! 🙂
L to R: Milani HD Advanced Concealer in 02, Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette in Hidden Agenda, Stila Prime Pot in Taffy, Makeup Forever HD Foundation #120
For the face, I like using a good concealer, the Sonia Kashuk Concealer palette is great for med/full coverage effects, where the Milani is more light/med coverage for days I want to go more natural. It’s a convenient pen shape and makes my skin feel soft and moisturized. I love using the Kashuk palette with a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Bush, and I especially love the green corrector shade. I also thought including a translucent powder is really smart! The Stila prime pot is a flesh toned cream shadow primer that can be used under any eye look. It really makes your eyeshadow stick but can change the finish of some eyeshadow colors. The Makeup Forever HD Foundation is my favorite so far next to my BB Creams. It has a great color selection and amazing finish on the skin! It’s a must have!!
L to R: Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Med. Dark, Josie Maran Argan Blush in Fever, Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
The Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder is the BEST Mac powder in my opinion, maybe even better than my Mac Skinfinish Natural. It’s finely milled and goes on so smooth, it feels light yet provides decent coverage! The Josie Maran line is gorgeous, with it eco-conscious themes, and natural ingredients, I was immediately drawn to it. The Argan blush in Fever is a deep dusty warm rose color, and comes in sleek rose gold packaging. The formula also contains Argan Oil so it’s supposed to be good for the skin! The Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer is a fun bronzer to have because of it’s pattern and girly colors. It gives an amazing bronze gleam to your face without being “dirty” looking. The Milani baked blushes are wonderful, and Luminoso is no different. It can be used as a highlighter and built up as a blush. It has a gorgeous warm peachy pink/gold luminescent color!
L to R: DiorshowWaterproof Mascara, Tokidoki Eyeshadow in Carnivora, Too Faced Galaxy Glam Eyeshadow in Cocoa Comet, Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Fashion Forward, Mac Eyeshadow in Idol Eyes, Rock & Republic Eyeshadow in Fade, and Sephora Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof in Marine
Diorshow is my HG mascara. I bought it before my wedding to have a fool proof mascara that would last me all night, but it has done so much more! It makes my lashes look full, soft, and volumized, and the formula doesn’t get all over my eyes when I apply it. The Tokidoki eyeshadow in Carnivora is a pretty shimmery champagne color, and glides on soft and pigmented on the eyes. The Too Faced Galaxy Glam Eyeshadow in Cocoa Comet is something that I use very often. It’s a unique chocolate brown color with green iridescent swirls of champagne. I love using this in my outer-v for more natural looks. The Lancome eyeshadow is Fashion Forward is a lovely light shimmery pastel green color that makes my eyes look fresh and wide, I also like using this is my inner corners and under my lower lash line. Mac Idol Eyes was a suprise find, it’s not the most pigmented eyeshadow, but gives your eyes a soft mysterious sparkle. The color is a silver violet with gold reflects. I LOVE Rock & Republic Makeup, they are such great quality and have amazing packaging. Fade is a light silvery lavender color that goes on very opaque. The formula is creamy, soft, and easily blendable. The Sephora 12 HR Crayons are great for a bold long wearing look. I’m not sure if it actually last 12 Hrs, but the color and texture is gorgeous! I love using this instead of my black eyeliner on certain looks! Last but not least, Nars Elsa is gorgeous on the eyes for spring. I swatched this in my Nars Duo Collection post, it’s a very pretty silvery light satin seafoam and a satin shimmery lavender!
L to R: Clarins Gloss Appeal in 03, Revlon Lip Gloss in Lilac Pastelle, Loreal Colour Riche Balm in Pink Satine, NYX Round Lipstick in Summer Love
I LOVE the Clarins Glosses, I was lucky enough to find them at TJMaxx last year! They are not sticky, have amazing colors, and make your lips looks fresh and wet! This color is almost like a duochrome, and it’s a great spring/summer pick. The Revlon Gloss in Lilac Pastelle is a creamy, non-sticky gloss that makes your lips look sleek and slightly tinted. The lilac color is gorgeous, and can be seen in the light! I’m obsessed with the Loreal Colour Riche Balms, they do wonders for my lips, and gives them a nice tint of color, nothing too crazy. I love the packaging and the fact they have SPF. The NYX Round Lipstick are amazing for the value, Summer Love is a great nude lip color, that glides on easily and smell great!
What are your March must-haves??
Everyday Dewy Makeup Look!
Hi Everyone! I wanted to show you my everyday makeup look, it’s fresh, clean, dewy, and naturally sophisticated. It’s pretty quick and easy to do, feel free to substitute certain products if you don’t have them in your arsenal! 🙂
Eyes: I first did a light wash with The Balm eyeshadow in a pretty light shimmery champagne color all the way up to the brow bone, concentrating it near my lash line. Then I look my brown felt tip marker by Hard Candy and made a neat line, a bit thicker towards the end, finishing with a tiny wing on my eye. I kept my lower lash line pretty clean to preserve that fresh, clean look! I filled in my brows with my Espresso pencil from Milani then primed my lashes for a good coat of my Estee Lauder Double Wear Mascara.
Face: After exfoliating my face with my deep exfoliating cleanser, I applied my Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream No. 23 with my flat top foundation brush all over my face. I let the BB Cream dry for a minute or two then dusted my Lorac Powder over the BB Cream to set it. I then used my Pearl Glow Powder by Physicians Formula over my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, forehead, and chin to give me that pearly glow! I then finish with my contouring powder from Milani to give me a natural face shape. For the lips I just used my Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle to give me that nice nude lip.

February Favorites 2012!
Here are my February Favorites!! I’ve been using these products non-stop this month because they made me feel warm, romantic, cozy, but still chic and glowing. Most of these colors are more natural, but a bright pop of color on the nails I find to be a great little pick me up, just in time for spring!
Love this color. Sidecar by Urban Decay, this is found in the Naked Palette and I’ve been using this as an all over lid color, just below my cease. I have Asian eyes, so I find taking eyeshadow all the way my lid can make me look a little clownish. This color is beautiful by itself, or used as a blending color in the outer v-area. Gives the eye a warm and toasty sparkle!
This is my newest Nars (Habanera) addition to my collection and I’ve been loving the green shade. It’s highly pigmented and goes on very smooth. You only need a little bit for it to go a long way! Gives the eyes a sophisticated yet sultry look. Create a fresh look for day, or a more smoked out look for evening.
This is the Makeup Forever HD Primer in Pink. Wonderful primer with color correcting/skin softening properties. I use this selectively on my face before applying foundation. The pink color evens out my skin tones and hides any sallow undertones. Love the watery texture and fresh smell. Great primer, worth a try!
This is the Korres Lengthening/High Definition Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara in Brown. I got this on sale at Sephora for about $9 and decided to give it a try, since I was lacking in the brown mascara department. I was pleasantly surprised! It does what it says on the bottle, it defines and gently lengthens my lashes with a thin coat of mascara, and gives my lashes a natural and defined look. I’m in love this mascara and SO glad I gave it a try!
This is the NYX Trio Eyeshadow Palette in 27, Platinum Pink Salmon Jazzy bronze. This is a great trio and I’ve been loving the NYX eyeshadow formulas. They they rich, creamy, pigmented, and easy to blend, I’ve been loving the colors in this trio and it’s easy to make romantic everyday eyes. This looks gorgeous on medium toned or tanned skin. Good staying power, and great price! (around $7)
This is the Galaxy Glam Cocoa Comet eyeshadow and is not the average brown! This was a complete compulsive cheap buy on Ebay since I love the Too Faced brand. I was initially intrigued by the packaging and the marbled swirling in the eyeshadow, and looks so much better in person. The texture is dense but blendable, and the light swirls in the eyeshadow add a beautiful iridescent green glow under the silky brown color. It’s definitely a fun brown and I wear it blended out in my outer-v! It kind of reminds me of Dragonfly by TKB.
Loreal Infalliable 24 HR Eyeshadow in Eternal Sunshine. I’m SO in love with the Infalliable eyeshadows, I have a few other colors but have been gravitating towards this one because of the sunny gold shimmery color. The texture of these shadows are very creamy and VERY pigmented, they do have long wearing properties, but can rub off a bit if you touch your eyes. LOVE these eyeshadows, highly recommended.
(L to R) Cargo-Louisiana, Mac Mineralize Blush-Dainty, The Balm-Bahama Mama. Loves these. The Cargo blush I use as a highlighter and gives my skin a soft dewy sheen. You can use this on other areas of the face and even body! All the Cargo blushes are very generous in size, but it the most expensive out of the 3! Next, the Mac Mineralize blush in Dainty is a perfect shimmery pink for your cheeks. I would recommend this to light to medium skin tones as this can apply a bit sheer. The Bahama Mama Bronzer was a surprise find in a set with a couple other face products at TJMaxx. The shade is a matte brown/bronze color, and is a perfect color for contouring. This is my new holy grail contouring powder next to my Mac Sincere Blush.
Revlon Lipstick Demure, this is a great peachy-coral-pink creme color with a little bit of shimmer. Look very natural on my lips, but still gives it a little bright flush to brighten up my face. I have medium-tan skin with yellow undertones so this lipstick worked great for me. The formula is creamy, somewhat long lasting, has a slight waxy texture, and has a a moisturizing effect. The color can be applied sheer, or built up over a few swipes. Great pick for the spring/summer!
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige. This gloss really isn’t a beige color AT ALL, but more of a light natural pink. This gloss is highly pigmented but can wear off during the day so you might need to take it around with you for touch ups. It has a slight vanilla cupcake smell, and goes on easily without being sticky. Gives great color to my lips and is very affordable! (around $5)
This is the Real Techniques Contouring Brush by Samantha Chapman (Pixiwoo). I love this brush because of it’s shape and how perfect it is for applying blush and contouring. It has a rounded yet slightly tapered end, so it can easily fit just under your cheek bone, or can dust a blush color right on top. It’s easy to control how much product you’re using because when you dip it, it doesn’t go all over the brush, just the tip. I highly recommend trying out the Real Techniques Brushes as they are great to have in your collection!
I’ve been wearing Revlon Siren on my nails now for about 3 days and I can say that now I’m ready for spring! It gives a great bright pop of color to my usual neutral makeup routine, and I’ve had no trouble with application at all. Revlon nail polishes are great as they are affordable, long wearing, pigmented, and fast drying. I’ve had less problems with chipping with these nail polishes compared to some of the more higher end polishes in my collection. I’ll definitely be hunting for more bright bold colors in the coming months! (I’ve had my eye on a foresty green color)
This is a sample of the Amika Hair Treatment Oil with Obliphica and Argan Oil I received in my December 2011 Birchbox. I’ve never really tried hair oil until this product, but I have to say this is AMAZING. Fist off, it smells heavenly, I could dump it all over myself just for the smell. You only need to use a small drop and work it starting from the tips of your hair up about halfway up your head. It instantly controls flyaways, frizz, and adds instant shine and softness. This is a major eye opener in my hair routine and will be looking to buy the full size (I think in the mid $30 range) soon.
Swatches L to R: NYX Trio Platinum Pink, Salmon, Jazzy Bronze, Urban Decay Sidecar, Loreal Infalliable Eyeshadow Eternal Sunshine, Too Faced Galaxy Glam Cocoa Comet.
