NYX Honey Dew me Up Serum & Primer Review

Hey girls! Hope everyone is doing awesome, I wanted to share the fairly new NYX Honey Dew Me Up Serum & PrimerΒ that I have been enjoying lately! It’s been super hot here, and I’ve been craving a lighter, more hydrated face for everyday. I was in passing through a makeup isle and came across this little beauty from NYX! I was immediately intrigued due to the packaging, I love anything gold!! The price tag was a bit steep for NYX at $16, but I had to try it none the less. I have anything with honey in it for the skin, it really helps to moisturize my skin and keep it looking radiant. It has a light serumy texture with tiny little gold flecks! It’s really hydrating on the skin without feeling heavy or sticky, it almost has a watery-gel texture. It’s really nice under makeup, and does help makeup apply more evenly. As far as longevity, it keeps my makeup looking fresh and my skin feeling awesome. Highly recommend!

Oh, this eyeshadow. If you need one Mac eyeshadow in your collection, it’s this one. This is Mac Velvet Eyeshadow in Mulch, it’s the perfect shimmery bronze shade. This is great as a one wash color on the lids or layered with other matte shadows. It has a hint of gold and warm reddish undertones, but really is the best shimmery brown/bronze shade that suits everyone.

This is the Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Surge. It’s an extremely emollient cream pigment eyeshadow that is super pigmented and metallic. I absolutely LOVE using this underneath eyeshadow as a base, or as is on the lids for a cool, frosty glow. One of my favorite eye products ever!

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow & Pigment Review!

1 (2)

Hello everyone!! Very exciting post for you today, my mini Makeup Geek Eyeshadow and Pigment haul and review!! Dont’ be fooled by the Mac palette, these are Makeup Geek eyeshadow pans! Marlena did a Youtube video not too long ago comparing her eyeshadows to Mac, video here, and I wascurious to see if they would stand up to the test! I’m a Mac fan, but not a fanatic, so I was willing to give these a fair shot.

2 (2)

The two shades I got were Moondust and Galaxy, her eyeshadow pans retails for $6 each, and are cruelty free, and ship all over the world. I LOVED the colors of these shadows, and decided to put them in my Mac duo palette, only to find out they weren’t magnetized. I can deal with that since I love the shadows so much, the quality I would say is very comparable to Smashbox eyeshadows in my opinion. Mac does have great eyeshadows, but some can be a hit and miss for me. At $6, these are a catch! I will be ordering more! πŸ™‚

Next, I got the Makeup Geek Pigment in Utopia. I would describe this as a duochrome dazzling antique gold with glitter. The glitter is not your typical fine grain glitter, and seems to be more flat. You can definitely feel it when you glide it over your eye but leave a BEAUTIFUL finish.

The pigment is very multi-dementional browns and golds, but I would recommend wearing it wet or with a good primer to extend lasting power. This stuff is AMAZING, also love the packaging!

New JKim Jewelry Launch!

Hey everyone!! Just wanted to share some exciting news!! I just did a launch of my new jewelry line,, would love if you guys checked it out and gave me some feedback!!

Thanks and much love!! πŸ˜€

P.S. If any of you would like a piece, just leave a message!

H&M and Forever21 Haul!

I was at H&M today to get some more black leggings and of course there are things that I must get. I also stopped by Forever21 to see if they had anything new in stock. lol Today I was more interested in jewelry! I just started a new job and thought these pieces subtly spruce up an outfit.

These two rings are from Forever21, I really liked the gold and rusty gold tones, and the overall designs. Forever 21 jewelry is rather inexpensive so I didn’t feel too bad getting them. I absolutely LOOOVE these rings, can’t wait to wear them!!

This is the first ring. There are 3 stacks of pounded rusty gold rings that have a swivel feature so they stay together. I really thought that was neat! I wanted to get a smaller size so I could wear it on my pinky. I really like the look of this ring and how simple/modern it is. Love it!

Here are the other rings, I reallyyy liked the smaller gold toned ring. I liked that it was simple butΒ  interesting with the pyramids on the top. I really liked the other one too, but I can see myself wearing these on their own separately depending on what I’m wearing, like these a lot!!

This is what I got from H&M, It’s a set of 3 thin leather bracelets with letter beads on them. I really liked how dainty these were but still really fun. They each say “London”, “Paris” and “New York”. I can see myself wearing these separately and together with casual outfits! It was only $5.95, win!!

Wearing all the bracelet on my wrist, love it!!! πŸ™‚

Here’s the only makeup item I got from Forever 21. It says it is a Bronzer in Light Rose Gold. The packaging reminded me of Topshop packaging, but I went for it because the color!

I really like that these makeup items are not tested on animal, or cruelty free, I really think that is important to support! This was only $3.80, another price win!! lol

This bronzer or blush is gigantic. Really good value for the price!!! I also really like the packaging, it’s sturdy, classic, and laarrggee. lol I really like the matte black and the clear top so you can see the product.

The color is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a light/med rose gold color. kind of a deep pinky peach with tiny gold reflects. It reminds me of the Elizabeth Arden Rose Aurora Collection Bronzer or Nars Orgasm.Β  You can build up the color for a more vibrant tone, or a light swipe for an amazing sheen. This would looks amazing on tan skin, but looks great none the less!! So glad I picked this up! πŸ™‚

Trend Report: Collar Tips!

Have you seen this trend around? I feel like it’s getting more and more popular since last year’s spring. There a big influence from the western themes, but brought into the trendy, new, modern world. They are available at ASOS and Ebay, but you can make your own too! πŸ™‚

Here a great DIY!:

Skin79 Oriental Gold BB Cream Review!

YAAY!! This is the Skin79 Oriental Gold BB Cream that I have been patiently waiting for. This product initially really stood out to me because of the color, packaging, cheek tint, and pump style. Also because people have said that this is an all around favorite BB Cream. The packaging is SO cute, I love the lavender and gold toned bottle. It looks very elegant, feminine, and sophisticated. I got it for a pretty reasonable price on Ebay from a Korean seller!

The packaging is sturdy, a bit bulky feeling, and the top part is made of plastic. The lid holds well onto the BB Cream itself, and the top lid is easy to open as well.

When you open the top lid, you can see the beautiful bright pink cheek/lip tint color! It’s gorgeous and very creamy. The small mirror inside the lid is a nice touch, and can be used when you need a quick touch up.

The pump, I thought, was very unique. It is a sort of vertical pump, you press down on the entire black “pump” part, and the product squeezes out through the hole in the center. The shiny/smooth area of the plastic allows you to cleanly swipe off the product onto your finger as you apply, It’s a really fun way to apply BB Cream!

The color for me is near perfect. BB Creams are notorious for being too light for me, but this one seems to be a great match. It’s very moisturizing, creamy, smooth, and easy to blend. The smell is a bit stronger with this one, kind of a sweet herbal cosmetic smell.

Starting to blend out, the BB Cream feels liquidy, but a bit on the heavier side. It is VERY moisturizing, and would be great for people who have normal/dry skin, or mature skin. This is something that I would definitely use over the winter months to keep my skin looking healthy and dewy.

Smoothed out completely, the BB Cream absorbs into the skin and leaves a subtle dewy finish. My skin feels soft, VERY hydrated, and evenly covered. It actually looks pretty natural on my skin, and over time, the heavy feeling fades a bit. Although this it the type of BB Cream to slide around on your face throughout the day, setting it with a powder would probably be ideal. Overall. it makes my skin look great!

The cheek tint is so gorgeous, its a barbie pink color that can be blended out into the skin. It’s very emollient, and can be used easily to create a subtle flush. You can use it alone for a more natural pink look, or top it with a powder blush to mattify the color.

Overall, I like the BB Cream! I don’t know if I will be using this in the summer months, but like I said, would be perfect for fall and winter! I really like the lip/cheek tint, as it is a very flattering color! πŸ™‚

Loreal Infalliable Eyeshadow Review!

I LOVE these eyeshadows! I first found out about these in Youtube and ran over to Target to give them a try. I love the colors I have, and really want to stock up on some other colors. The eyeshadows are creamy and smooth, and a little damp feeling, but glide on easily on the skin with great even pigmentation! The colors are all slightly shimmery, and claim to be long wearing. I’ve noticed that you can smudge them if you are not careful (i.e. rubbing your eye lol) but for the most part, stay on the lids for most of the day!

The eyeshadows come with a protective lid on each shadow that you can remove, and the texture of these shadows is VERY soft and pliable, if you are not careful you can lose a chunk! lol You only need a small amount on your finger or brush to apply evenly on the eye. I love the color payoff of these shadows, and have been claimed to be a dupe for the Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadows. Overall, highly recommended!
