Nars Creamy Concealer DUPE from ELF!

IMG_4283 IMG_4281 IMG_4282Hey gals! HAD to quickly share this amazing dupe I spotted for the Nars Creamy Concealer in Custard $29 I just picked up at Target for only $3!! It’s the ELF HD Lifting Concealer in Light, the color is slighty darker but the color fair might be a bit closer. As far as texture and pigmentation they are VERY similar. Very light and creamy and good coverage. Both are super smooth and melt right into the skin without feeling heavy. I really like this concealer and will be using it for daily makeup application! They both do not crease, and for fraction of the amount that the Nars concealer is (which I do equally love)  is an amazing bargin. Check it out!

Hello everyone! ❤ I wanted to do a quick review of the Nars Loves Los Angeles Set that came out last holiday season. I found this on Ebay for $32 (retail $75) and I was immediately drawn to the palette. I loved that you get 4 eyeshadows, a bronzer (Laguna) and blush (Deep Throat), and a couple extra goodies! I saw a little scared to use the blue shade, but it is actually very pretty blended out or used as an accent color on the eye. The lip gloss is Nars Turkish Delight which I was also really excited to try. I really like the quality of this set, the only shades I was concerned with was the light glittery shade and the blue shade. There was some crumbling with the glittery shade, but that was expected since it had so much glitter in it, it was best used with the flat brush patted over your eye, and the blue wasn’t as richly pigmented based on the swatch. However, this make it much more wearable and easily layerable over other shades. It also worked was as a liner! Great little set!

Ok, this palette is gorgeous. I was able to find this on Ebay, where I like to shop around for all the older limited edition makeup items, and I was so pleased that I could pick this up! This collection was actually part of their Holiday 2013 Nars Loves Miami Collection, and originally came in a gift set. It has the Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush which is awesome, and 4 shades of eyeshadow. I absolutely love the eyeshadow shades, really easy to wear, especially loving the bright purple, which I don;t really have in my collection. The look is amazing! Sorry I couldn’t post, I was having issues with the swatches. What do you guys think? ❤

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab

20140714_175243 copy20140714_175251 copy20140714_175307 copy20140714_175334 copyHi everyone! ❤ I wanted to do a quick review on my newest foundation, the Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Punjab. This foundation is fabulous, it’s very dewy and natural looking, while still having buildable coverage. This shade is really dead on for me right now especially because I have a bit of a tan, and with bronzer it’s really quite flattering. What I love about this is that it really sets in a nice way. It doesn’t stay sticky or wet feeling on the face, like most dewy foundations, and it doesn’t make me break out! I do still set it with a translucent powder, but it could go without it. It really conceals all my discoloration and evens out my skin tone really well! Highly recommend!

I decided to stop by my nearest Sephora to pick up a little goodie! I had some points to spend, so I got a mini Nars Lip Gloss in Orgasm! It was super cute and the color looked gorgeous. I had never tried the Nars lip gloss so I thought it was a great opportunity, it was not sticky and slightly metallic. I was immediately drawn to the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con Eyeshadow Palette No. 3 in 1110 The Shoe Gazer, very pretty and reminded me of summer. The quality is really nice, smooth buttery and pigmented, and oh, the packaging. I absolutely Marc Jacobs products, and they don’t skimp of presentation. Totally recommend!

Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella

20140408_204753 copy20140408_204718 copyAbsolutely love this lip pencil. It’s the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella $25, and it the perfect warm peach nude shade for the lips. I like that it’s a chubbier pencil, and the formula is very moisturizing and creamy. The shade is a bit darker/warmer than my natural lip color, but it really does warm up my complexion and will look great with tanned skin, but any skintone really. It has rich color and lasts fairly long!

Lovin’ It! Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard Review

I might have stumbled upon my new holy grail concealer. I’ve tried so many in the past and this one really just tops them all. It is a med/full coverage concealer and as the name suggests, it is very creamy. I love Nars, they have amazing products and this one does not fall short! This retails for $28 at Sephora.

This is supposed to be ‘A creamy concealer with hydrating, multi-action skincare benefits and light diffusing technology to create a softer, smoother complexion. Ideal for all skin types, Radiant Creamy Concealer is a multiaction formula that instantly obscures imperfections, blurs the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and hides dark circles and signs of fatigue. Hydrating and luxuriously smooth, it layers lightly for buildable medium-to-full coverage and a natural luminous finish. The multiactive botanical blend hydrates, firms, reduces redness, and strengthens the skin by helping its barrier retain vital moisture. It also delivers antioxidant protection to protect the skin against damaging free radicals.’

I got this in the shade I have Custard – yellow tone for light to medium complexion. I have the regular stick concealer from Nars, and this shade was perfect for me, so I went with it! I also tested this in the store under my eyes and was a perfect match.

It comes with a doe foot applicator, and is actually pretty handy and convenient to use because you can target exactly where you want to apply it without using a brush or your fingers. The texture is very creamy and slightly thick/tacky but not too much where it’s uncomfortable. It’s also supposed to be crease-proof, long wearing, and  formulated without parabens! 🙂

Here’s a swatch, I love how this concealer feels, it is again a med/full coverage concealer but doesn’t feel too heavy and also feels a but hydrating.

Blending this out is amazing, very creamy and covers just about everything you want to cover. You can use your fingers, or a brush to do this on your face.

Here it is completely blended out, a great color match for me, and practically undetectable. It smoothed out ALL my redness and imperfections, and didn’t feel cakey or too thick on the skin. It wears for a long time, and is an amazing concealer overall.

Highly recommend you try this!!
