Check out the Coastal Scents makeup brush sale this week! X
I’ve been holding on to this for a little while, but I went into Sephora during their VIB Rouge sale and decided to snag a few items since they were offering 15% off! Here are the items I picked up!: Free Sephora VIB Rouge Makeup Bag with Samples, Algenist Firming & Lifing Cream Deluxe Sample, Lorac Perfectly Lit Luminizing Powder in Radiant, Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Stain in Beige Extract, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony, and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure. I’ve really been enjoying all these items, and the Lorac highlighter I was able to get at a great price since Sephora is no longer carrying the line. Did you guys partake in the sale? 🙂

Hey everyone! I just wanted to make a post about my recent ELF haul, I took advantage of a sale they were having 50% studio a couple weeks ago, and I HAD to try a few things that were on my wishlist. These are the ELF Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadows, I heard such great things about these, and the swatches looked amazing, so I had to try. They came out to $1.50 originally $3 each, a TOTAL steal.
I got 3 colors, Soiree, Gala and Toast. I absolutely LOVE all three of these colors, at first I wasn’t sure about Soiree but it’s so flattering on my skin tone. There is a bit of glitter in these shadows, so if you don’t like that I’m not sure you will like these. These are VERY long wearing, and great for all over the lid.
This is Gala, a nice chocolatey brown shade, it has some shimmer, and looks somewhat metallic. This looks AMAZING on the eyes. I love just using this to create a nice brown smokey eye look. You can concentrate the colors if you like or blend it out. I would work somewhat quickly with these because once they set it’s really hard to blend.
This is Soiree, a beautiful mid-toned pink/mauve colors with shimmer and glitter. This colors is really gorgeous, and I usually don’t like pink/red toned shades on my eyelids, but I REALLY like the effect of this. Again, the glitter in this one is a bit more apparent, so use with precision!
Swatches: Soiree, Toast, and Gala
Swatches: Soiree, Toast, and Gala after I rubbed my hand REALLY hard! Color is still there!! XD
These are the ELF baked blushes and bronzers, I heard rave reviews about these and decided why not try them. They overall size of these are smaller than I thought they were going to be, but you can still get a lot of use out of these. The packaging for some reason seemed a bit better, heavier, so maybe ELF is stepping it up!
These are the two baked bronzers I got, the left is St. Lucia, and the right is Los Cabos. I didn’t get the middle shade because it seemed to have an orangey undertone while these did not. Los Cabos is the lightest shade of bronzer and looks SO natural on the skin! This shade is great for everyday contouring if you have light/med skin tones. They do have a light satiny sheen to them, but they do not have shimmer. Your skin looks healthy! Los Cabos is the darkest shade, this is good for when I get tan during the summer, or if I want a deeper contour. Love that they are cooler toned, still great!
These are the baked blushes! I got Peachy Cheeky and Rich Rose. Both of these are gorgeous. Peachy Cheeky has a very luminous quality, will a great natural peachy pink color. Doubles as a blush and highlighter! Rich Rose is a gorgeous color, kind of a deep rose gold color, looks really great on the skin.
Swatches: Peachy Cheeky, Rich Rose, St. Lucia, Los Cabos
Swatches: Peachy Cheeky, Rich Rose, St. Lucia, Los Cabos again after I rubbed my hand REALLY hard! The colors really stay on!

I stopped by Sephora for the first time in months and was happy to find that they had some items on sale that I’ve been dying to try!!! Some items weren’t on sale but they were so amazing when I tested them in the store, the sales people were really nice today!
Will do a review on each of these items soon! 🙂
This is the Hello Kitty Parisienne Palette that I’ve been waiting to go on sale and it finally did!! I got this little beauty for $10, so happy I waited!! Review and swatches to come!
This is the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15, this was $18 for .33oz, one of the more pricier items, but I had to get it after trying a tester in the store, this primer is nothing like anything I’ve ever tried!! So happy with this, and love the convenient size!
This is the Sephora Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Moonbeam, been eyeing these as well!! Was lucky enough to find this for $5!! The color looks like a shimmery soft light shell pink, but can sometimes look beige. I’m in love with this already, pretty waves in the product!
This is the Sephora Hot Hues Neon Lip Balm in Hot Pink, it was part of the Hot Hues Collection released this year. It is a limited edition moisturizing sheer lip tint! I reeeaaally wanted to try this and got it for $3! So lucky!!
I also got a nice sample of the The Body Shop Shea Body Butter. I’m familiar with The Body Shop, and rather like body butters, this will be nice to put on after I get back from the pool! Going to try it on my chapped heels!
The nice sales woman also gave me some samples of the Caudalie skincare products I was eyeing in the store, the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum, and the Caudalie Premieres Vendanges Moisturizing Cream. I really liked the serum, and she recommended the moisturizer, can’t wait to test these beauts out!
Successful shopping day.

Ok, so I was at Walgreens the other day and they were having a $1 sale for all Wet N’ Wild Nail Polishes!!! Also, the girl at the counter was really nice and let me use the $2 off coupons she had for any of the Sally Hansen Nail Polishes!!! (I got ALL the Sally Hansen’s below for FREE!!! LOL) The Wet N Wild Megalast Nail Polishes are actually quite good!! They have a pretty good color selection, nothing crazy, but overall REALLY like the formula and colors for these, awesome!
Next are the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Polishes, these I have been a fan of already, I have several sitting in my nail polish drawer!! I really like the bottles and all the colors they offer, also, the quality of these are REALLY nice for the price. (Under $3 each!)
This I chose on a whim, I was really intrigued by the deep green color, I was hoping this would be the same quality as the Megalast polishes but sadly no. 😦 This formula is watery and very sheer. Not the opaque lusciousness I was expecting!! Sad.
Ok, ALL of these polishes I got FOR FREE!!! Thank you Walgreens girl!! She was awesome. I really liked all the colors I got, these were some of the brights that I liked plus a nice french pink color!! So pretty! The formula is quite nice for these, and the pigmentation is pretty good! The fuchsia color was a bit thinner than the others, but still good, I ended up giving it away! The pink and red were amazing!! Very vibrant in one swipe!
Next I got some cool tones as well as a top coat. The top coat is actually really nice, can’t wait to use it!! The two blue tones are really pretty in the bottle, but aren’t as opaque as I would like. I ended up giving away the darker blue color. But for a free polish, how can I complain?! The light blue shade gives a pretty blue shimmery frost effect so I kept it! Swacthes are below!
Swatches L to R: Wet N Wild Megalast Club Havana, Heatwave, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Golden-I, Pink Satin, Flirt, and Wet N Wild Fast Dry SaGreena the Teenage Witch
Swatches L to R: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Set in Stone, Love Rocks, Solid Love, and Tough Love
Swatches L to R: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Cleat Top Coat, Frozen Solid, and Sturdy Sapphire
LOVE the Megalast and Xtreme Wear What do you guys think!?
