Hi everyone! ❤ I’ve been hunting through Sephora and saw some interesting little tid bits that peaked my interest! Fall is right around the corner and that means switching up my beauty routine. Of course hydrated skin and a great bold eyeliner is always a must, but I’ve also been liking a hydrated tinted lip and bold lashes for fall. The new Nirvana Black perfume is a nice warm sultry scent, and the Drybar spray would be perfect for those effortless 2nd day waves! The list: Glamglow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment, Dior Addict Fluid Stick, Hourglass 1.5MM Mechanical Gel Eye Liner, Lancome Grandiose Mascara, Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Spray, and Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black .
Oh baby, I need this! They are $35 at Sephora, and are a lightweight, pigmented, high shine gloss/lipstick! It is supposed to be hydrating, not sticky, have great color payoff, and last on the lips. Will you be picking one of these up?
This is my all time favorite high end mascara. It’s the Diorshow Extase Mascara in Black $28.50. Yes, it is a lot for a mascara, but this formula and brush works amazingly for me! It has a thicker gel formula, and it really coats every lash, the brush allows to get the volume that you want all the way across your entire eye! It dries fairly quickly, and the effect is great for my Asian lashes. I really only need one coat!
Hello everyone! This post is a long time coming, but I wanted to do it now because I finally got a bunch of products that I really love using on my face! Over the seasons, items have changed, but these overall have been my go-to favorites for my everyday looks! These are my favorite foundations/BB Creams of the moment, the YSL Touch Eclat Illuminating Foundation, Skin79 The Oriental BB Cream and Shimmering BB Cream, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation, and the Sephora Instant Radiance Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid. LOVE all of these, I prefer hydrating, light textured, dewy, medium coverage foundations for the skin. Makes me look healthy and natural!
This is the Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat Mineral Loose Powder, which came out this year for Spring 2013, the packaging is so pretty, a bit bulky, but is so nice. The powder itself is micro fine, light textured, sheer, and so smooth. It give the skin a flawless slightly illuminated finish. It smells nice too!!
Next is the CoverFX MatteFX Powder, Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector, Benefit Playstick, and ELF Maximum Coverage Concealer. I absolutely love these products, the Benefit Playstick is probably my all time favorite stick foundation/concealer. It’s so creamy and light, and the finish is amazing! The CoverFX MatteFX Powder I use everyday, it just set my makeup and keeps my makeup from sliding around during the day and gives a translucent effect. The Covergirl Corrector is a recent find but I’ve been suing it everyday, I LOVE the texture, my undereyes feel hydrated, and the coverage is good without being cakey. The ELF concealer I use on it’s own on days where I want to be natural. It has good coverage, feels nice and dewy, and is a great color match. Closest product that feels like a BB Cream without being one!
Next is the Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace, Mac Archie’s Girl Blush in Cream Soda, and Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Frivole. I absolutely love Sleek as a brand, too bad it’s only available in the UK! I’ve really been loving tangerine toned blushes applied with a light stippling brush, the color is co gorgeous with a light hand! The Mac blush in Cream Soda is a great everyday light peach blush, which just makes me skin look more alive. The Chanel blush was a splurge, but the quality of it and the color is SO gorgeous. highly recommend.
These are my go-to face powders and bronzers, the Revlon Photoready Bronzed and Chic Bronzer, Lancome Dual Finish Versatile Face Powder, and the Lola Pressed Powder in Wheat. All of these powders are matte, but not cakey. The texture is very light and smooth. Love the Revlon bronzer because of the different quadrants, and how pretty is the coral print? The Lancome Dual Finish Powder is just hands down one of the best face powders I’ve used, and the the Lola Pressed Powder I use as a natural contour, which I found for $1 on AllCosmeticsWholesale!
Next are mascaras, my newest fav is the Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara in Black, 17 Peep Show Mascara in Brown/Black, Loreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara, and the Nars Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara. All of these I really like. The Nars and Dior mascaras have to be at the top, the 17 Peepshow Mascara is great for everyday natural wear. The Loreal Mascara is a total DUPE for the Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara. I love the formula for these, not too wet or dry, slightly creamy in a way, pigmented, stays on the lashes, and voluminous.
Lastly are my eyeliner and brow products! I have my Mememe Eye Spy Eyeliner Pencil that I use for my brows, the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner Pen, Sleek Eau La Liner, Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner, my spooly wand, and the Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Eyeliner Pencil. The Maybelliner Master Precise Pen is amazing, it’s my go-to for any winged eyeliner look. It just makes my eyes look polished and defined. The Too Face eyeliner is so creamy and pigmented, amazing for lining the upper lash line and smudging out looks. The Sleek Eau La Liner is great all around, lasts, creamy, and is very pigmented. The Loreal Liner is pretty much a gel liner in a pencil form, SO creamy and very black. I use a angled brush to use this pencil!
Overall, I LOVE all these products, and I can see myself using them for the greater part of the year.
What do you guys think!? 🙂
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a quick NOTD, it’s a combination of Dior’s Dauphine Pink 253 Nail Polish, and one franken polish that I made called Snow Days (Opaque white multi-shape glitters). The Dior Polish has subtle shimmer and goes on semi-translucent, but the opacity can be built up to a nice jelly finish. It’s a very pretty light pink color that us great for everyday wear! Snow days is a mix of opaque white, tiny squares, diamonds, bars, and medium squares. It looks like snow!
I did 3 coats of the Dior Dauphine Pink, and then a couple coats of Snow Days on top carefully placing the shapies on my nails. I always use Sally Hansen’s Smooth & Strong Salon Manicure Base Coat, and the Pro-FX Quick Dry High Gloss Top Coat for my nails! I absolutely love this combo when doing any sort of nail look! Love it!
What do you guys think!? 😀
Wee I love Dior. I was able to find this cute Dior Pro Cheeks Blush on Ebay as I was sifting through their makeup listings for around $12!! This product I think is discontinued, but it is SO gorgeous none the less.
The color is 815, and on the back it just said “tester”, but upon more research is says the color is Limelight. It’s an amazing iridescent light pink color and looks so very nice in the packaging! I’m kind of sad they don’t offer anything like this anymore, as I really do love cream cheek products!
The packaging is very cute, feminine, and elegant, the cap is a reflective silver with Dior engraves all around the rim. The clear part is a thick clear plastic? It’s not too small or too big, it’s the perfect size for a little creme blush.
The color is the softest baby pink color with tiny gold and silver reflects, it almost has a faint duo chrome finish. The texture is very light and airy and is similar to a mousse. It blends very easily and looks amazing on the skin as a highlight. It does go on quite sheer, but might show up a bit better on lighter skin tones. This is absolutely gorgeous, I LOVE Dior! 🙂
Swatch: Dior Pro Cheeks Ultra Radiant Blush 815 Limelight
Faintly on my cheeks, what do you think!?
Ahh Dior.. My quintessential favorite luxury brand. There’s so much to love, the femininity, the couture, I love everything about it. The same goes for their beauty line. Everything is refined, beautiful, and the colors are gorgeous. I’ve really been attracted to the quints, as pricey as they are, are so worth it to me just in terms of personal value. Here’s my favorite quint!
The packaging is sleek, and the palette comes in a velvety pouch thing, I guess to protect the palette. This was actually a birthday gift I had got from my husband! 🙂 I love it so much, and the colors for me are amazing. Dior does it well.
The 5 Couleurs Designers come in 6 different color combinations, with some limited edition ones that come out every so often. It says made in Japan with I was surprised about, since I know Dior is originally a french brand? but I guess the Japanese do it well also.
This palette is a combination of green shades, one base, 3 eyeshadows, and an eyeliner. I love the center shade, and the eyeliner is a great deep green color. There are two shimmery iridescent shades that are a bit sheet, but I think that’s the point of these. One is a shimmery base, and the other is meant to be used as a highlight. The contour shade is a darker foresty green color that has pretty good pigmentation. The best, for me, is the center green shade, which is absolutely gorgeous!

On my lids, what do you think??
Yay! Time for March favorites!! I literally went on auto pilot and grabbed for the first things in each category that I saw. These are things that I ALWAYS grab for, and is so essential for a gorgeous spring face. Although there are other things I could include, these are the things I thought represented it the best! 🙂
L to R: Milani HD Advanced Concealer in 02, Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette in Hidden Agenda, Stila Prime Pot in Taffy, Makeup Forever HD Foundation #120
For the face, I like using a good concealer, the Sonia Kashuk Concealer palette is great for med/full coverage effects, where the Milani is more light/med coverage for days I want to go more natural. It’s a convenient pen shape and makes my skin feel soft and moisturized. I love using the Kashuk palette with a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Bush, and I especially love the green corrector shade. I also thought including a translucent powder is really smart! The Stila prime pot is a flesh toned cream shadow primer that can be used under any eye look. It really makes your eyeshadow stick but can change the finish of some eyeshadow colors. The Makeup Forever HD Foundation is my favorite so far next to my BB Creams. It has a great color selection and amazing finish on the skin! It’s a must have!!
L to R: Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Med. Dark, Josie Maran Argan Blush in Fever, Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
The Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder is the BEST Mac powder in my opinion, maybe even better than my Mac Skinfinish Natural. It’s finely milled and goes on so smooth, it feels light yet provides decent coverage! The Josie Maran line is gorgeous, with it eco-conscious themes, and natural ingredients, I was immediately drawn to it. The Argan blush in Fever is a deep dusty warm rose color, and comes in sleek rose gold packaging. The formula also contains Argan Oil so it’s supposed to be good for the skin! The Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer is a fun bronzer to have because of it’s pattern and girly colors. It gives an amazing bronze gleam to your face without being “dirty” looking. The Milani baked blushes are wonderful, and Luminoso is no different. It can be used as a highlighter and built up as a blush. It has a gorgeous warm peachy pink/gold luminescent color!
L to R: DiorshowWaterproof Mascara, Tokidoki Eyeshadow in Carnivora, Too Faced Galaxy Glam Eyeshadow in Cocoa Comet, Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Fashion Forward, Mac Eyeshadow in Idol Eyes, Rock & Republic Eyeshadow in Fade, and Sephora Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof in Marine
Diorshow is my HG mascara. I bought it before my wedding to have a fool proof mascara that would last me all night, but it has done so much more! It makes my lashes look full, soft, and volumized, and the formula doesn’t get all over my eyes when I apply it. The Tokidoki eyeshadow in Carnivora is a pretty shimmery champagne color, and glides on soft and pigmented on the eyes. The Too Faced Galaxy Glam Eyeshadow in Cocoa Comet is something that I use very often. It’s a unique chocolate brown color with green iridescent swirls of champagne. I love using this in my outer-v for more natural looks. The Lancome eyeshadow is Fashion Forward is a lovely light shimmery pastel green color that makes my eyes look fresh and wide, I also like using this is my inner corners and under my lower lash line. Mac Idol Eyes was a suprise find, it’s not the most pigmented eyeshadow, but gives your eyes a soft mysterious sparkle. The color is a silver violet with gold reflects. I LOVE Rock & Republic Makeup, they are such great quality and have amazing packaging. Fade is a light silvery lavender color that goes on very opaque. The formula is creamy, soft, and easily blendable. The Sephora 12 HR Crayons are great for a bold long wearing look. I’m not sure if it actually last 12 Hrs, but the color and texture is gorgeous! I love using this instead of my black eyeliner on certain looks! Last but not least, Nars Elsa is gorgeous on the eyes for spring. I swatched this in my Nars Duo Collection post, it’s a very pretty silvery light satin seafoam and a satin shimmery lavender!
L to R: Clarins Gloss Appeal in 03, Revlon Lip Gloss in Lilac Pastelle, Loreal Colour Riche Balm in Pink Satine, NYX Round Lipstick in Summer Love
I LOVE the Clarins Glosses, I was lucky enough to find them at TJMaxx last year! They are not sticky, have amazing colors, and make your lips looks fresh and wet! This color is almost like a duochrome, and it’s a great spring/summer pick. The Revlon Gloss in Lilac Pastelle is a creamy, non-sticky gloss that makes your lips look sleek and slightly tinted. The lilac color is gorgeous, and can be seen in the light! I’m obsessed with the Loreal Colour Riche Balms, they do wonders for my lips, and gives them a nice tint of color, nothing too crazy. I love the packaging and the fact they have SPF. The NYX Round Lipstick are amazing for the value, Summer Love is a great nude lip color, that glides on easily and smell great!
What are your March must-haves??
Recently I’ve been seeing a trend in the high end cosmetic world where they are getting a little creative with their usual pressed palettes! Sometimes it’s just the packaging, or the color choice, but I’ve been really impressed when they pay close detail to the powder itself! Check out the ones I found above! I would love to own any of these palettes!! Wouldn’t you?! 🙂
Over the years, I’ve accumulated these mascaras and have been looking for them to all fulfill one thing. Full, voluminous, yet natural looking lashes. I’ve searched high and low, and these are now the ones existing in my collection! Most are black except for my Korres one, but I have to say for the most part I’ve been happy.
Diorshow Waterproof Mascara: I initially bought this for myself for my wedding as I never had a waterproof mascara. I had heard a lot about the Diorshow mascara and how great it was and decided to pick one up after been given a tester. I have to say, this was my go-to mascara for a long time! It has a large thick fiber brush and a not too wet formula. It gives my lashes a soft, lengthened, and voluminous look. I was sad that it had started to dry out after a few months of buying it, but still it’s going strong. I love this mascara, worth the money.
Lancome Hypnose Drama: This mascara was the high-end first mascara I had ever bought. I used to get a lot of samples from my mother after she had come back from the department stores when I was little, and this mascara has always stood out. It has a curved fibrous wand, with a slightly wet formula. There are significant gaps in the fibers so every coat gets the most bang out of every swipe. It makes my lashes look think, dramatic, and some what longer. If you use to much it can start to look spidery to be careful with this one!!
Kat Von D Sin-Full Lash: This is a great everyday voluminous mascara. The wand is dense and very large, and is similar to the Benefit BadGal. I don’t think that Kat Von D is necessarily known for her mascaras, but this one was a surprise find. It has a smooth application and dries fairly quickly. It makes my lashes look thicker, separated, and longer. Good mascara.
Korres Lengthening/Defining Mascara in Brown: This is my only brown mascara I own at the moment, and bought it at a Sephora sale earlier this year. I decided to give it a try because I was desperately searching for a good brown mascara. I had been intrigued by the Korres brand because of its eco-friendly perspective, and modern packaging, but this mascara goes beyond that! It actually does what it says! This makes my lashes look naturally long, and defined. Beautiful for everyday natural looks.
Lorac 3D Multiplex Lashes: I got this mascara as part of a set by Lorac over the holidays. (The Lorac Close Up: Real Life To Red Carpet Natural To Dramatic Face Tutorial) I’m not really a fan of the synthetic brushes but decided to give it a try since it came in the set. It has a curved wand with short symmetrical spikes all across the wand. After applying, your lashes look thick, voluminous, and separated. Overall, all good mascara, even though it is a synthetic wand!
Maybelline Big Great Lash: I caved and bought this mascara because I figured I needed a staple drugstore mascara I can throw in my purse. I decided to go with this one because it has a similar wand of the other that I already had. Surprisingly, it has a very large wand, and thick fibers to give you a wide eyed voluminous look. The formula I am actually partial to because it is very watery and doesn’t dry very quickly. I’ve also noticed that it flakes a bit throughout the day. This is an Ok mascara, good to have as a back up just in case you don’t want to take your good mascara along with you somewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this product.
Almay Intense i-Color Mascara: I got this mascara on sale with another product at Target during their beauty sale for under $2!! I’ve never really tried Almay products so I was curious to find out what this mascara was like. I like that wand as it is big, bushy and thick, just like my Diorshow. This gives a natural yet full voluminous look without being too watery or dry. This I would say is a better alternative drugstore mascara compared to the Maybelline Great Lash.
Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara: This is my HG drugstore mascara. It does exactly what I need and I don’t need to spend over $20 to get it. It has a similar wand to the Diorshow and and other high end volumizing mascaras and is a GREAT alternative. It lengthens, separates, and gives a dramatic lash look. I highly recommend everyone get this mascara is they love thick, long, full lashes!
