Hi everybody! I finally got my Petit Vour beauty subscription box! I’ve been really loving this box because it introduces me to natural brands and organic products. This month was the travel themed edition. I’m really happy with this month’s box, I’m usually not a fan of shampoo and conditioner samples, but I have been wanting to try this brand. I got: the EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner, MUN No. Aknati Oil, ncLA 5 Free Luxury Nail Polish, and the Tay Rosehip Balancing Cleanser with Seabuckhorn.
Hi everyone! Super exciting post, I’ve been really into contouring and bronzing lately, and I’ve been testing out these products: the L’oreal Visible Lift Repair Absolute Foundation in Honey Beige and the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel. They are both creamy and can be used under and over foundation. I actually prefer the L’oreal cream foundation as a bronzer, it has a smoother gel-like texture and natural color. I found the Chanel bronzer to be a bit orange and waxy feeling. I like applying both products with a dense kabuki brush in circular motions. Save your dough and try a drugstore alternative!
OH, pinky-nudes, how I love you. ❤ The MAC lipstick formula has to be one of my favorites, especially the Cremesheen and Lustre formulas. They smell amazing, like vanilla, and go on smooth and pigmented. A couple of these are in the permanent collection, but a lot of them were from limited edition collections. Here is a list of my all time favorite MAC lipsticks!: MAC Flair for Finery, MAC Feed the Senses, MAC Modesty, MAC Close Contact, and MAC Creme Cup.
Hi everyone! I want to share a drugstore find, the NYX Bohemian Chic Nude Matte Collection Palette. The price varies depending on where you purchase it, but it is usually around the $10-$18 range. I managed to get it on sale! What really drew me in was the fact that it had all mattes and cheek colors, with pops of color on the bottom. I really like having neutral mattes around to mix in with my other shadows, and blend out my eye looks. The packaging is really cute and portable, and it has every shade you need. The quality of the shadows are ok, but again, mixed with other shadows, they work great.
This is my all time favorite high end mascara. It’s the Diorshow Extase Mascara in Black $28.50. Yes, it is a lot for a mascara, but this formula and brush works amazingly for me! It has a thicker gel formula, and it really coats every lash, the brush allows to get the volume that you want all the way across your entire eye! It dries fairly quickly, and the effect is great for my Asian lashes. I really only need one coat!
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a palette I have been loving recently, the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Soft & Sexy Eyeshadow Palette $36. It is the perfect daytime smokey eye palette in my opinion, if you are into that, I am! 😉 The colors are so pretty and the perfect combination for that perfect taupey-smokey- cool toned look. I absolutely love the names of these shadows and the cute packaging. The eyeshadows themselves are very nice as well.
I want to let you guys know about a new subscription service I found out about called Jewelspring! Stella, the owner was nice enough to send me this box for a review from Korea. The subscription is $30/month including intl. shipping and you can choose from 3 different styles (sexy, cute, or elegant) and you can cancel anytime. She asked me what color I liked and what my style was. A few weeks later a box arrived! I received 4 pieces of jewelry wrapped in pink tissue paper. I liked the bracelet, but the other items weren’t really my style. What do you guys think?
The Tarina Tarintino Starchild Odyssey Collection Eyeshadow Palette is so gorgeous. You can manage to find this on Ebay or on blog sales, but it really is a gem in my makeup collection, and I highly recommend it. The colors aren’t shades I would wear everyday, but they are oh so nice for a pop of color, or to blend into other shades in a smokey eye. I LOVE all Tarina Tarintino Eyeshadow Palettes, amazing pigmentation and quality. This is a great one for those a bit more adventurous! ❤
I seriously LOVE these powders. ❤ They are one of my all time favorite highlighters. The Becca Pressed Shimmer Powders $38 are velvety soft, finely milled highlighters that give the most amazing sheen to the cheeks. I have Princess (warm golden pink), Nefertiti (rose opal), and Angel (champagne). They are currently 50% off the website, so I think they are being discontinued, but I managed to find mine of Ebay for a great price. Becca as a brand I am a huge fan of, and I love all their products. The packaging is really stunning, metal embossed tops and brown rubberized casing. These powders really give off a natural glow without being too overpowering and feel very lightweight.
Hellloooo! I really had to dedicate one whole post on this nail polish alone. It’s the Sephora Formula X Nail Polish in Obsessed $10.50, and I am obsessed with it. I had heard a lot of hype about these little beautes, and decided to try it out myself. I’ve tried a lot of nail polish in my day, so my expectation were high. I absolutely love the color of this, something I find I can wear year round and look chic. The formula and brush is really great. Applys very evenly, and dried shiny! I do find it lasts a bit longer with a good base coat though!
I’ve been loving wearing a glowy bronzer and peach cheeks lately, very appropriate for Spring I think! I’ve been loving the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion and the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Bronzing Veil in Tropical Days. The Hourglass blush is very finely milled and super smooth, with the same glowy properties as their ambient lighting powders. The Celestial Bronzing Veil is a gradient between a warm matte bronzer and a shimmery highlight. Looking amazing blended together!
What’s your go to cheek look?
This is the Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Surge. It’s an extremely emollient cream pigment eyeshadow that is super pigmented and metallic. I absolutely LOVE using this underneath eyeshadow as a base, or as is on the lids for a cool, frosty glow. One of my favorite eye products ever!
A new spring discovery! The Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in Rose $37. This is meant to be used underneath foundation to give your skin a luminous glow, which it certainly does. I find this very moisturizing and non-silicone like which I prefer. The color has a very pretty pink opalescent sheen, and leaves my skin dewy and prepped and ready to apply liquid foundation. This does have a most subtle hint of pink, but underneath foundation it’s not noticeable at all. Love how fresh and dewy my skin looks when using this product! Highly recommend this product!
Have you checked out the Clarins Spring 2014 Collection?
Oh my, oh my. These Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks $30 are amazing. I picked up the shade Impulsive, which is a fresh, pink nude (showing up a bit warmer in the photo). The formula is very creamy and long-wearing which is a rare combination, and I have heard through the grapevine that these are Tom Ford lipstick dupes! 🙂
Have you guys tried these out yet? XO
Introducing the NYX Butter Lipsticks! Been loving these little guys! Super affordable, they are $5.99, and are extremely comfortable and easy to wear. I have the shades Sugar Wafer (pale nude), Fun Size (pale pink nude), and Snow Cap (neutral nude). I like that the packaging reflects the actual shade of the lipstick, makes them easy to grab! The formula is very creamy and the pigmentation can be worn sheer or built up. My favorite has to be Snow Cap, the perfect my lips but better shade! Have you tried these?
